I took my disabled husband to the store for shoes. Had to ask to get by the assistants at the back till who were busy discussing their hours and lack of staffing! Returned to said staff and excused myself to ask Christine for shoes in my husbands size, she quickly got them, thrust them into my hands and went back to her chatting, no offer of asstance so I undid his shoes helped him on with the new shoes, etc., took them to the till to pay where they were still chatting, she asked if they were ok, I told her they were but that her customer skills were lacking, I got an offhand apology. Later I emailed the manageress with my complaint but over a week has gone by without so much as an acknowledgment of receipt.

Popped in on a quiet Saturday afternoon - staff all stood about chatting apart from one who was SAT on merchandise chatting. Avoid this department store - Beales was much more helpful
