Never get to see a Dr, misdiagnosed gf 3 times, 2nd time she has to have emergency surgery. Rang up to say she couldn't breath to be told ring back this afternoon. Hour later rushed to hospital with low oxygen. Then genuinely come across as don't give a toss about anyone.
I have been registered at this surgery for a very long time, luckily I don't have to attend very often but when I do it has always been a great experience. I saw Dr Vincent today at the surgery for an on-going neck problem, he was very courteous, polite and helpful. It's a great surgery with great staff who are always, at least in my experiences, warm welcoming and happy to help in anyway they can.
I would like to thank Dr J Majumder for acting so swiftly in referring me, and I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer. Without his swift action I dread to think of what would have happened. Always kind and a great listener. Thankyou so much, I'm doing really well because of you..the best doctor in the north west!
Me and my dad are at Adelaide street surgery. I only go if my dad has an appointment or I’m dropping off his repeat prescription request and picking his medication up.last time I had an appointment there I turned up five minutes before my appointment as I was told to do sat down then one of the receptionist shouted from behind the counter your appointment isn’t at this surgery it’s at the mereside surgery to which I replied back well when I rang and made my appointment I made it for here not mereside so I will have to see a doctor here . She didn’t look to happy but it was there error not mine eventually I got to see a doctor. So now I prefer to go to the walk-in centre instead I rang and made my dad an appointment for his booster jab got there only to be told they don’t do them there it’s at gorton street surgery and if you walk fast you might just make it really my dad is 71 and had a knee injury at the time. And the amount of time I’ve gone to collect my dad prescription it’s either not ready or items missing or they have sent it to the wrong surgery.I even got asked by one of the receptionist if my father was registered at that surgery what a joke. And since 2019 I had been trying to ask for my dad to be referred to a neurologist one doctor even said after I told him how long my dad’s symptoms last he said oh well that’s nothing really. He was finally referred in September last year and won’t get to see a neurologist till earliest November this year .
Had issues with this surgery.....do not use Reception staff and nurses are excellent. The Dr's however don't listen to you, talk over you and don't give appropriate treatment when needed. Never in my life have I experienced a GP surgery that doesn't tell you that you have a condition found by blood test that needs treatment. I recently discovered on attending the surgery and seeing my notes on computer screen I have a condition I wasn't aware of, that hasn't been followed up or treated in anyway shape or form and then I had to complain to get it addressed shocking treatment and neglectful and not a single apology offered by the doctor when I flagged up my concern
Up until recently I would have told anyone to avoid this surgery. It's the only one that covers my living area so I have no choice but to go here. Some of the doctors will talk over you and not listen to what you're trying to say. I have an auditory processing disorder and can't understand accents very well, especially over a terrible phone connection but don't even have chance to explain this before the doctor has hanged up without resolving the situation. However, the receptionists are always happy to help and try their absolute best to do all they possibly can for you. I also recently had an appointment with Lorraine for my first ever blood test and I have to say, it's completely changed my perception of this surgery, she was lovely and patient and very understanding, an all round shining example of what you should expect from a credible surgery. I cannot recommend her highly enough as she made me feel comfortable, relaxed and relieved about an experience I've been terrified for my entire life. I understand that the doctors work very hard every day and probably don't get anywhere near the credit they deserve but the receptionists and nurses can continue to go about their day being friendly and compassionate, I would urge the doctors to at least pretend to.
I have been a patient of the practice for nearly 30 years & cannot praise the Doctors, Nurses & receptionist enough! The last couple of years have been fairly challenging to say the least, especially with the onset of menopausal symptoms. I would like to say a special thank you to Dr Augustine, Dr Anthony, Mr Barney Strange & the diabetic nursing team for their care & compassion & prompt referral to specialist care teams that have brought me through to the other side & the road to recovery
awarded 1 star as there isn't a negative score, worst practice I've ever used. Constantly asked to make appointments for reviews of meds etc, each time we try told the diary has not been made up, try next month, someone is not doing their job. Unfortunately stuck with them at present, however, nurses are great when you can actually get to see one
Reception staff are 5 star amazing every time. The pharmacy also provide a 5 star service. There is one incredible doctor here I don't want to mention his name because he's incredibly busy and I don't want to sound biased who is a shining example to others. Unfortunately, the other GPs I've seen are well below par and they're letting the surgery down. Today I saw Dr Vincent. When I explained I needed repeat medication for a long-term, severe central nervous system problem that I have, he categorically refused to even listen to my needs, spoke to me as if I was some kind of degenerate spice addict and instructed me to leave his room whilst I was on the phone to a Harley Street Neurosurgeon trying to make my situation clear. Rude and incredibly inconsiderate. Seeing a good doctor is absolute essential for people's needs. I was with my last doctor for 20 years. Once is enough for Dr Vincent. I can completely understand why these reviews range from 1 star to 5 stars. I've previously given a 5 star review for this practice but felt I needed to update it based on today's experience.
They still haven't delt with my complaint from 2yr ago about one of the heads of the practice they just don't care in that place
