A lovely cosy place in the middle of an unexpected area. Ihave never tried this type of food, but from what I'm told - it is very Authentic. The service was prompt and kind, the food fresh and very cost effective. Genuinely a welcome change to the normal choices for a Friday night, and if you're in the area, make sure you stop by. The chicken was to die for and definitely one that I would recommend in the middle next to the egg Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step to go in but otherwise the restaurant is on ground floor. The loos are accessible and on the ground floor too
Great restaurant, owner and daughter were so hospitable. Great food, a real gem. Quiet when we arrived as we got there on opening. Great portion size, fab value for money. Recommended
This was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and healthy, interesting new flavours that I haven’t tried before. The owner and the staff are lovely, definitely will visit again. Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options on the menu that were beautifully seasoned.
Excellent food and amazing hospitality. Very family friendly, my wife, daughter and I went to this today and loved everything. We had the large mixed Abyssinian dish which had a plethora of different dishes on one large tray with the traditional injera. To finish off we had the ceremonial coffee wish was delicious and strong and the homemade cake which was light and fresh. Would highly recommend.
Went on a Friday night and we were the only ones there, and there wasn't any background music, so atmosphere wasn't exactly buzzing. However, the food was quite good. Chicken fell off the bone and the lamb on the bone was flavourful.Food: 4/5
Interesting food, good atmosphere, lovely staff and service. Great neighbourhood restaurant. We tried the sharing platter. The authentic bread is very unusual. You eat the serving mat.
Lovely, authentic restaurant with great staff, service and tasty food. Will definitely return. The injera was spot on as were all the classic dishes. Would be nice if there was more variety on the menu like sambusas / starters, desserts and spiced Ethiopian tea. Still, yum yum yum.
An experience out of the ordinary. Compared to other Ethiopian places I have been to the food was good. Service was good and the decor is very colorful and uplifting. Location is not exactly central but you can park on the street. Good choice of dishes on the menu and the place will easily cater to vegetarians. Injera good but wish they had used a bit more taff. Great place to go as a group and for sharing. Watch some YouTube videos on how to eat Ethiopian food before you come here and you will be good - you eat with your right hand. The owner was very friendly. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend you try the coffee ritual, their freshly roasted coffee was sooo good.
Finally made it to this place, which I’ve heard good things about for a long time. The food was delicious and authentic I’ve been fortunate to visit Ethiopia. The music played also took me right back to my time there. We were also welcome to bring our own non-alcoholic beers in. Overall very happy :Food: 4/5
An absolute diamond in the rough! Very tasty and seemingly authentic Ethiopian food, which we had never experienced before. Get the special and share it between 2-3 because it is more than filling. The coffee afterwards complete with them roasting and grounding it in front of you is delicious as well, coming from someone who doesn't like coffee. Great experience.
