Booked at short notice online very easy website to navigate for a Sunday evening meal with my partner. The food was excellent and the service was without fault. We will definitely return
Ordered 2 starters and mains for delivery. It was delivered bang on time and was utterly delicious. One of us had pork followed by lamb and the other had the vegan 'fish' cake and seitan stroganoff. The highlight was the fishcake and lamb. We'll definitely be ordering from here again - it's by far the best food delivery we've had.
Have just eaten a truly scrumptious meal delivered on time and perfect. Thelamb was divine. Mother in law also had the Sunday lunch platter so delighted with it. Highly recommended amazing job well done and thank you to the staff at 31 Castlegate.
We had the Vegan set 3 course menu and it was sublime. The delicate tastes, attention to detail were amazing. We gave every dish 10/10. Highly recommended for vegans. It was so refreshing to see that vegans are taken as seriously and respectfully as meat eaters. Thank you.
What a fantastic meal, and the price is amazing for the quality of food and portion size. Both my wife and I left here stuffed. Definitely recommend!
One of York's finest eateries, 31 Castlegate offers fine dining at an affordable price. Chef Patron, Nick Julius, is a renowned master chef whose culinary skills are unequalled in York. And Restaurant Manager, Roy will always offer you excellent service and a warm welcome. Highly recommended.

Fantastic restaurant overlooking Cliffords Tower. Our three course set vegan menus were truly inspiring and the service impeccable. Portions were very generous and the setting in this listed building was perfect. We will definitely be coming back.
