One of the cleanest hostels I’ve ever stayed in! My husband and I had a private room for 3 people. The bathrooms and showers were spotless. There is a take some and/or leave some toiletries bucket. Parking was easy, free, and plenty of spaces were available. The staff were friendly and able to answer any questions. It’s also in a great location. We will definitely stay again when we return to Liverpool.
Did two nights in Liverpool and this seemed to be the cheapest out there. I arrived around 12pm so I had to wait until 3pm to check in although there were so many empty beds in my room - and I was able to leave my bags in a room for a bit. Was given a card key and something to put my on my bed to claim it as mine once I had returned. On the top level - the room was clean - separate shower and toilet and spacious. There were no towels given and the bed I wouldnt say is the most comfy and quite small, although everyone got their own plug and mini light - no curtains though. There is a kitchen to cook, lounge area, bar/cafe and outdoor benches. Very quiet, children running around but for just a place to sleep and maybe cook it was cook. The staff are nice but again not very social - lots of older people and families. For a cheap place would go again.
YHA Liverpool was my first experience and it was lovely. It is near to Albert Dock and night view at albert dock is breath taking. The rooms were clean, people were very nice and helpful. I like the kitchen and lounge area alot. Bus stop to airport in 5 min distance. Thanks you YHA for wonderful stay and all the help Rooms: I was living in female dormitory which had his own washroom and bathroom which were clean. Walkability: Near to Albert dock and many places
Really good place to stay. Nice location right near the Baltic Triangle and very close to the docks. Has a bar and also serves food. The people who worked there were lovely as well. Can't fault the place. I highly recommend.
Went to Liverpool for a job interview. Arrived there around midnight and the gate was locked. Called the number and got answered very soon. A staff member opened the gate and let me drive inside. Glad there was still parking space. Check in straightforward and quick. The room was ok, breakfast good. Open 24hrs and providing parking space were big factors choosing it.
The staff are really lovely and the ability to store luggage prior to check-in was incredibly useful! However, the rooms were stuffy at night and because the beds provide no coverage or privacy, if someone has their bedside light on during the night it illuminates the entire room. Also, I requested a bottom bunk due to muscle pain, and while another person in my room said they did the same and came in the find a bed reserved for them, I had to sleep on the top bunk as it was the only one left because nothing was reserved. More can be done to ensure accessibility requirements are facilitated. The building could also do with better maintenance as every single door and step was loud and squeaky which was disruptive during the night. The morning latte was night and the bar area by the entrance was a nice place to hang out after check out.
Great hostel in a nice location near the water but a bit far from the city centre. Easy walk to and from Lime St station, though. Coming from the YHA in Manchester, this is a bit of a downgrade. A bit older and more cramped, especially the common areas. But they have everything you and overall it’s a classic hostel vibe with a comfortable bed for a good price.
Fantastic stay for 3 nights with a school trip! The bedrooms were super clean. The staff really friendly and the breakfast were great. You can self cater too though. Great location for links to the city, museums, restaurants. It's near a main road but your in the city centre so to be expected. So welcoming and a lot on offer with a tv lounge, en suite and secure area. Nice garden area too. Highly recommended!!!
Brilliant location. 15 minute walk to the docks and all there is to offer there. We had our 2 dogs with us, they can't allow dogs in the hostel, but that was fine as we sat in beer garden, ordered lunch of scampi, chips and mushy peas served with tartar sauce. It was lovely and of good quality. The staff are what makes this place, smiling and welcoming, they care. A lovely cold glass of Cruzcampo lager to wash it all down and off we went to the docks and jumped the famous ferry across the Mersey, they allow dogs on as well. A little walk around docks and shops and back to the hostel to spend more time in the beer garden and another Cruzcampo. The hostel is faultlessly clean. It's in a lovely spot and not that far into the town. It's a multi cultural city and it's lovely to see. There is always something going on. I recommend a visit and stay at the YHA Liverpool docks, a lovely hostel offering the best of Liverpool hospitality.
The hostel is awesome. The rooms are spacecious, very clean and have truly nice bathrooms and showers. The Lobby and the eating hall are both really great for catching up with other guests. Also the staff is overwhelmingly friendly. Also ist is quite central and not far from the immer City, about 5-10 minute walk. And, above all that, it is absolutely affordable. If you come to Liverpool, i implore you to book a bed there.
