A lovely hotel with private parking across the road. Cosy bar and restaurant serving real ales and delicious food. The three course set menu was excellent value for money with lots of choice for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotless, warm and comfortable and the vegetarian breakfast was one of the best I'd ever had. Staff were lovely and customer service excellent. Would have loved to have stayed longer but we'll definitely be back. Thank you, we had a wonderful stay.
My wife and I recently took a four night break in The Morecambe Hotel. The accommodation was fantastic, the room was spotlessly clean, and the service from the staff was flawless. A full English breakfast, or choices of lighter meals was included each morning, and the food was delicious, cannot praise the hotel and staff enough, we will definitely be returning soon.
Great breakfasts even for non-residents- the veg option was simply fantastic - Sliced Avocado & Carrot on Sourdough; Cherry Tomatoes with Pine Nuts & Sesame Seeds with a micro salad garnish. Limited street parking close by.Service: 5/5
Booked a meal here for the weekend prior to Valentine's Day. Called ahead and spoke with Lee who was fantastic at checking our allergy requirements with the chef and outlining the suitable options. The establishment was clean, warm and welcoming, gave a rustic country pub vibe. We were seated in a nice quite area towards the back, the tables were already Valentine's themed and the Menu was adapted for Valentine's as well. My partner chose the gluten free fish and chips and I chose the cajun grilled chicken dairy free. Unfortunately, we had to wait over 40minutes for the food my guess is due to allergy requitements when the food arrived we were a bit disappointed, the fish and chips portion was quite small and the cajun chicken had a very meagre portion of chips and even less salad. Lee was very apologetic and did ask if anything could be added to make it more substantial. Unfortunately I couldn't really think of anything on the spot and just wanted to tuck in at this point. At payment Lee was very apologetic again. I had thought he may have given a slight discount but unfortunately not. All in all not a terrible experience, but just wish that venues that say they cater for allergies don't just remove options without replacing them or possibly asked earlier about additional items. If visiting Morecambe, I would still recommend it and may even go back there again, but if you have allergies I would call and order ahead to cut down waiting times and have back up options available in case not able to be adequately catered for. Lee was great, can't knock his service, only feedback would be to perhaps offer a small discount in future as this would have really made up for the food it felt a bit cheeky to have asked for it.
Lovely comfortable room for the night. The bar and restaurant were superb too. We would book again!Rooms: 5/5
Best Hotel in Morecambe in my eyes, fantastic food and super service I would recommend 100%. They also have a huge beer garden and kiddies play area.Rooms: 5/5
Hotel, restaurants, and rooms decorated to a very high standard and are immaculate. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed all of our starters, mains, and dessert. The fish beer battered fish and chips was the best I ever had. Service was friendly and professional. Facilities in the restaurant were immaculately clean, crisp modern decor and in keeping with the high standards of this establishment. Make sure to enjoy a promenade along the beach, including taking a photo with Eric Morecambe's statue only a 9-minute walk along the shore. Additionally, a playground is only 3 minutes away. This hotel and restaurant surpassed expectations. I wish we could have stayed longer. Rooms: Immaculately clean with modern decor that is in keeping with the age of the property decor. Walkability: A playground, the beach and Eric Morecambe's statue are only a few minutes walk away. Food & drinks: Delicious
Great for drinks, very good selection. Food was a little bland but very dog friendly, staff are lovelyRooms: 5/5
Posted after our visit 26.10.23 I am currently sat in The Morecambe hotel with my family. There are six of us crammed round a small table. My husband asked nicely if we could move tables and be a bit more comfortable especially for my mums comfort also, however this was refused. He asked the very nice gent who was serving us to get the manager out to double check this was allowed, Hannah, who still refused. The gent was fantastic with us and was visibly disappointed when we had our simple request refused. We were one of only two tables in the whole pub, therefore it was difficult for us to fathom how there was no chance of us moving tables. We can only assume it was perhaps down to laziness. We always make a point of going to the Morecambe hotel whenever we visit once a year and have been since our youngest was a baby he’s 14. Unfortunately this will not be a priority next time. We were unfortunately not asked if we wanted any further drinks after our first. None of this complaint reflects on Samuel Byrne whose service was outstanding.
Decent food, friendly staff.. not long g to wait despite it being Sunday lunchtime
