The receptionist was very helpful, friendly, patient and careful. I waited in the hospital to see the doctor for an urgent about 4 hours. And the average of waiting is 2.5 hours, and i cannot book an appointment for my situation. Which make it very bad experience, and it seems that the management of the hospital is absolutely ridiculous. The doctor was nice, but he was trying to finish as early as possible. He made some mistakes in a letter about my situation, but overall, he was alright. I will never come again to the hospital, except if i don’t have a choice. And i prefer to book an appointment with unity health, since they have much better service.
I go to York Hospital quite a lot for different types of appointments,and as yet I haven't had a any bad experiences. I know that sometimes an appointment can't be on time because of under staffed,or other holdups. The staff from the receptionist right up to the doctor, surgeon or whoever you see have been kind, compassionate and honest. They have always helped me to the best of their ability.
Emergency visit to A&E was handled superbly by the staff, we were taken through x-rays, CT scans, plastering, examination, and stitching up very professionally and cheerfully. They had some challenging clients in that evening but kept polite and helpful to all of them. They provided the best solution to a bad situation.
The new A&E is money well spent! Much more organised and efficient given the state of the NHS. I couldn't fault any of the staff from being booked in to the doctor at the end. Thank you!
I attended the Day Unit today for surgery under local anaesthetic on my legs undertaken by the lovely Miss Kocchi hope I’ve spelt that right! From booking in to discharge I was met with nothing but care and kindness . Thank you York for making my day relaxed and pain free whilst I was having my procedure done especially the lovely team in theatre who were just delightful.
