Two weeks from my initial consultation I received an MRI scan and a follow up appointment was offered a week later. I was away so opted for the following week and received a full diagnosis and the offer of an operation within a month. I completed a health questionnaire whilst there and was offered a pre op assessment at the same time to save me having to make a separate visit.nFantastic service all on the NHS, amazing.

Had a great experience at the Nuffield Hospital York yesterday. I met with a consultant within 9 hrs of my initial call to the appointment office. Easy parking, efficient check in, clean waiting areas, tea and coffee facilities and friendly and helpful consultant.
Absolutely not worth paying for a gynae consultation. I think the problem is they are bearing the brunt of the NHS women's health overflow in york. Wish I hadn't bothered as the doctor was no help. I ended up in accident and emergency the following day. I now know what is wrong with me and I'm taking my money to London to get it sorted.
