Fabulous place! Staff are so friendly, extremely clean and facilities so so lovely. Lots of machines to use in the gym as well as free weights, pool is always spotless and perfect temperature. All in all a lovely environment. Gym goers are friendly too and helpful, if you're new to the gym! Price of membership definitely worth it for the location and the facilities!
Getting very packed and would be better with earlier opening times at weekends. Cleanliness in changing rooms has gone down with floors dirtier and wet and therefore risky. Noticeably different over the last couple of months. Still a great place although maybe a booking system for the pool would suit everyone better like during covid.
Just enjoyed my 4th day at the Y Club. Joined last Monday, April 22nd, enrolled by a helpful and friendly receptionist: Molly. The pool is the perfect temperature for me. The steam room and sauna are such a treat. And and! everywhere so clean. So yes, happy to award this health club 5 stars and say thank you to all staff there.
Extremely crowded all time. You would not find a single bench out of 4 they have for 1000 people anytime you go. Single set of each weight. Not worth is for £40 membership. Only benefit is club has Pool, again which is not available most of the time. Place is dark with not much happening atmosphere that can motivate to stay long there.
Very nice facilities. Swimming pool can be busy at times but understandable due to the location of the place. Have a wide range of classes and the subscription fee is reasonable.
small gym, from 6:30 to 7:30 there's way too many people, so you'll be waiting to use machines. friendly staff and customers. also has a pool, sauna and steam room. sports hall with tonnes of stuff and basically any class you can think of. badminton is always usually packed you'll be lucky to get in, even if you're 40 mins early
Horrendous experience here on 2 occasions as a guest of the hotel which is perfect disgusting staff, especially the tall young man with brown hair - very rude, some of the patrons are absolute clowns. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend
The worst customer service I have experienced. The staff is rude and often do not care about members or visitors. Often staff is miss informed and do not treat members with respect and professionalism. I suppose the staff is underpaid and really unhappy working in such an environment. On the other hand, the manager Will and the class/fitness manager Reece have provided me professionalism and good customers care. I love giving positive review to business, but for this one my rating is 1 star. I was thinking to give them 2 stars due to the new manager which is been very helpful and polite, sadly it is a 1 star due to staff members Ruth and Beth. I would recommend you try the place and experience the facilities, as you might have better, positive experience.
I would recommend this gym. Nice pool, a variety of age groups attending the gym and the classes. Nice staff, busy but helpful if you need them. A women only sauna is available in the women changing room, separate sauna and steam room by the pool. It is a shame it only has two fives courts but no squash court available. The fives courts are quite under used and I would highly wish they can consider to have a squash court!
I like coming to the many free classes, then dipping in the pool afterwards. I do wish it had squash though!
