Beautiful clean modern hotel. Room was good bathroom was adequate bed very comfortable. Staff excellent friendly and helpful especially Abbie upstairs in the bar, great personality and efficient especially as she was the only bar staff in a busy bar. Woulike a bit of background music in the bar area. Restaurant food and service was great. Would visit again
Hotel was nice, good meeting area, with chocolate, hot drinks and cans available. Food and service was not to the level I anticipated. Lunch was ok, but the buffet had no menu so everyone had to ask what the dishes were and you got small servings, was a bit bland. Dinner tasted nice but was over cooked and constantly had to ask for the drinks that were ordered at the start. Breakfast was standard, but no sauces.
The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The room itself was really nice and had 2 rooms one with 2 single beds and the main room had a king size. There was a Nespresso machine as well as bottled water and biscuits in the room. There were really nice toiletries in the room as well. We will definitely be returning all in all it was a great hotel.
We had afternoon tea, we were put on a table in the corner of the games room, a dirty table, the floor had food all over it. The sandwiches and cakes were not the best, the scones were plain and dry! The service was the only thing that was any good, the lady was extremely polite, helpful and apologetic about where we were seated. We would definitely not go there again.
The hotel was good, and breakfast started to be served too late, and the restaurant service was very slow although food was nice when eventually arrived bar staff were exceptional would happily stay again but would eat elsewhere so as not to have to wait to long the first night we stayed went to hotel which was nearly empty only to be told we had to come back in an hour as they were fully vooked returned in an hour to find the restaurant as empty as is was when we previously tried
The room was lovely and had a lovely view out onto the golf course. It was very clean - everything worked well. It was spacious and well stocked with tea and coffee. Staff were helpful and pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was very good - buffet style. Food was well presented and good selection.
We have stayed here several times and it's good. Rooms are very good and prices for b&b are reasonable and deals are available at various times. On this occasion we felt the hotel was suffering from a lack of staff. There was fairly poor attention paid to ensuring the breakfast buffet was replenished satisfactorily. The bar service suffered from having only one guy to serve many people. The menu for dinner was relatively limited. Bar prices are somewhat fierce. However, all that said, all the staff tried as hard as possible to keep things moving. It was not quite as good an experience on this occasion but overall still good.
Disappointed! Was really looking forward to stay. To start with, 1. Our room was not ready and we had to wait for 2 hours because there was only one house staff for all the rooms, as most probably they got rid of cleaning staff during covid and now are struggling. Given that we booked the rooms 3 months in advance, this was not acceptable. Furthermore we were asked £15 more for a late checkout, which was only an hour more. Reception should have taken our 2 hour wait in the lobby into account and offered it free of charge. 2. At the time of online booking, the confirmation doesnt state the rate its booking the room for. So at the time of check in, I was asked to pay the current rate, which was £50 more. Luckily I had a screenshot of the price I booked the room and stated my case to Reception, the receptionist was adamant that thats just a quote and doesnt hold, which was incorrect as that was the rate at we booked the room. The Manager was quite reasonable and reduce price to match. 3. The room was clean and the cleaning staff did a very good job. One thing to note about the room is that it doesnt have Aircon and hotel doesnt hold any fans, given the climate change it was too hot to sleep. One would think that opening windows would help but it didn't. 4. We came down at 9 for breakfast, the staff at the welcome was not very welcoming and instead of greeting just pointed us towards the buffet table. I asked if eggs were fried seprately or in the same oil and pan the answer was I don't know might be. So I insisted if she can find out from Kitchen staff just behind her. She was not happy to turn around and take 3 steps towards the kitchen door and ask the question. The buffet tables looked like it was ransacked by hedgehogs, there was hardly anything in the dishes apart from beans and mushrooms, the 2 fried aggs were almost dried out rubbery, the 3 pieces of hashbrown looked dry. So added this to list of disappointments. 5. The grounds around the hotel were well kept but nothing too fancy. In my opinion if you are into golf and don't mind above stated than go for it. As I don't play golf, had 2 uncomfortable sleep deprived nights, bad attitude from staff - cleaning staff and duty manager decided to checkout at 6 in the morning. Would I go to this place again or recommend? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
This was my first time visiting this hotel, conference centre and golf club. The entrance road has security, there is ample parking which includes disabled parking bays and electric car charging points. My friends and I were met at the reception by friendly professional staff. My room was on the ground floor with bathroom adaptations. This made it possible for me to be able to have a shower. Breakfast was a choice of continental or full English, which was refreshed regularly. Lunch was a buffet lunch that included pasta, jacket potatoes with various fillings, salmon, curry, salads and salad. Dinner was a 3 course meal, my starter was garlic mushrooms on toasted brioche. Main was steamed chicken, broccoli and potato dauphinoise. Dessert was chocolate brownie. The food was tasty and a good potion size. Along side the food there was access to hot drinks and juices. The hotel was clean and the staff were polite, friendly and professional. There is a lift to other floors and the bar. I recommend this hotel for the food, comfort, cleanliness and professionalism. I look forward to returning next year.
I recently stayed here with my family and it was a great experience. Staff was really courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean. Beautiful golf course. I really enjoyed my stay and breakfast was great as-well. I would recommend to must give a try to this hotel.
