A favourite for my kids, they love feeding the Ducks, the forest adventure area is great fun and the soft play area is nice too.

Great fun, but it's always freezing. Bring a coat 😁 the cafe is nice but pretty pricey and the service tends to be glacially slow. Lots and lots for kids to do and see.

Great place for a day out, adults and children. Pram friendly but no dogs. As well as a comfortable lookout station on the shores of the loch ( a little walk from the café) with a vending machine, a big eco-friendly stove, dry toilets, benches and huge windows, there is a new adventure play area in the woods with a covered picnic area, climbing frames and a zip wire. Castle Espie is really special as it has so many rare breeds of geese and ducks and they are breeding successfully. Each one is pinioned so that it cannot fly from the wetland area and at the end of each day as the rangers bang their clappers and walk round the ponds waving a big flag on a pole , dozens of wild mallards take flight leaving the 'home birds' to enjoy the feed supplied by the centre.
