Beautiful and staff are amazing. Tea room had real meals on menu not over priced afternoon tea like most places. Keep up the excellent service.

This is well worth a visit at any time. Went there yesterday with grand daughter and did the whole tour plus easter egg hunt. We all really enjoyed it all, the hunt, the buildings, the museum (including children's toys and playroom), the lovely moat walk, the new cafe, etc. etc. We went again today to attend the special day with animals and madel making. The staff were all so nice and friendly and helpul too. So - we paid for an annual family membership ticket (very reasonable). A great venue; well done to all involved in organising and running it.

This is a place well worth a visit for both adults and children alike. Informative but fun as well as there are things to do en route, like making a chair. Also they frequently have special days with lots of activities for children... ...and adults can have a go too!

I had not been for a long time . I was taking the children to the scarecrow festival when it started to rain so I brought them to the castle . I have to say they really enjoyed the experience very much the eldest kept asking about items and what they did i.e the mangle the horse plough etc. Which I found that I could tell them as most things my grandparents and great grandparents used. My great grandfather had an old fire black stove which my uncle would warm his slippers in. My granddad used a south hand sheets and worked with horses also was a saddler. And I remember my gran and mum using a mangle. The hands on approach in this museum is great and brilliant learning aid to children well done will be definitely revisiting with my husband xxx
