I visited there about 3 or 4 years ago. It was a pleasure to meet the host and his wife. I've been a ham radio for 55 years and some of my first sets were WW2 surplus, so it was a real pleasure to see so much equipment in one place. Definitely a highlight of my trip to UK.
A little hidden gem in the West Midlands the Military Wireless Museum. A very well organized and clean building equipped with historical radios dating back seventy years or over to do with the first and second world war. I discovered this remarkable place a couple of months ago and visited the museum today....Wednesday 3rd July 2019 with fourteen other people. We all had a wonderful packed very interesting time spent with the owner Ben and Gloria Ben's wife. Ben showed us around the museum and told us about the war radios and how the radios work along with various stories and events to do with the war. Ben was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all the radios he showed us. The museum is full of history and it is worth a visit for all ages. I have to say it was a great experience visiting the museum today and we feel very grateful to Ben and Gloria for working so hard keeping history for generations to come. Thank you Ben and Gloria for sharing your interest with so many people Jenny and friends
I visited this place a couple of years ago to buy a radio for my own military display. The guy who runs the museum has radios from many different countries and eras and he is very knowledgeable. Maybe too small for coach parties but schools and smaller parties would benefit from visiting.
Very interesting place. Would highly recommend visiting
If ever i am near this place i would visit .
