Nice place, worth the money if you are interested in trains and the history of older engines. Food and other services are also very nice and usable. Would come here again.

Part of Severn valley Railway. Entrance free if full ticket. Lots of engines and activities. Restaurant on first floor with accessible lift. Good to visit if interested in steam.

Great for getting up close to steam engines and for children (and adults) to see things that they don't normally see. There is a vintage Royal Saloon kitted out with artifacts of the period and a travelling post office where you can sort and file letters in the way they used to be. Always has activities laid on for kids during school holidays. There are lots of hands on things to do and an outdoor play area where the kids can let off their own steam. The outside veranda is super for watching the trains go by, both steam and historic diesel as it runs the whole length of the building. You can pop into the licensed cafe for a drink, snack or full meal. No car park because you are intended to get there by train, although there is limited disabled parking just by the building. A full return train ticket from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth gives you free entry to the Engine House. The trains are only suitable for standard sized wheelchairs as the vintage carriages were all built way before the Disability Discrimination Act. If you drive there, parking is up the road at the country park car park (not Severn Valley Railway) and a clearly signed footpath leads you down. It's uphill on the way back though! You have to pay to get in if you don't have a full return train ticket.
