Stopped in for breakfast, the place is beautiful with a lovely outdoor area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The food lets it down though, we had the pancakes and a bacon & egg sandwich and both were very plain. The pancakes very clearly came straight out of the pack and didn't come with any sides other than a pot of syrup - a couple of berries or a sprinkling of icing sugar would have made a big difference!
The reasons I like this place: right next to A30 but feels like countryside. Clean basic outdoor loo block. Easy parking. DELICIOUS coffee by voyager local roasters. Outdoor or indoor seating. Usually one or two unusual tasty hot meals on offer as well as huge old-fashioned cooked breakfasts. Unusual combination and feels very personally run
Had a Bacon and Egg Sandwich on Granery Bread. It was awful. Egg was barely cooked and 2 peices of bacon. Sandwich came uncut and looked atrocious. No care given to how it looked and I paid over £8 quid!!!! Ordered Oat Milk Cappuchino and the lady who made it didnt steam the milk for long enough so very little foam top. All in all very disappointing. Location though is lovely. Just a shame no care was taken with the food. If you are going to charge that much you need to get it right!!!
Just stopped for refreshments so cannot comment on rooms. Just off A30 perfect for something to eat/drink on your journey. Pretty and peaceful location surprising as just off A30, friendly staff, lovely coffee and we ended up having food too. Full English was very good. Gluten-free also well catered for.
We visit Woodleigh Coach House regularly. The food and drinks are always at a high standard and we can never fault a thing about the experience! Well worth a visit if you are passing!
