Great ale, delicious burger and lovely staff. In a handy location close to Tottenham Court Road and much better than a chain pub. Has real character and delicious cask ale on hand pump. Tourists very welcome too.
Really lovely Shepherds Neame pub in Bloomsbury. The single room ground floor bar is small and cosy; dark wood and stained glass. Also an upstairs dining room. Really friendly staff, a very warm welcome and well kept ales. Definitely worth a visit.
Friendly welcome and a decent pint of Master Brew. Quiet this Friday afternoon, comfy and decent place to get away from the bustle for a refresher.
Beer and food were excellent. The layout of the pub is a bit odd tables upstairs, but you have to order downstairs. We were confused as to how to get our food and find a table. Unfortunately, the staff treated us a bit like we were stupid for not understanding how things worked. Otherwise, it would be a solid 4 stars.
Great old pub near British Museum. It's small but more seats upstairs. Food was great. Had sausage sandwich and meat pie with mashed potatoes. Huge portion.
Great place! The bartender was friendly and made my stay pleasant. Pints go for £4.50-£5.50. The interior is nice with wooden panel walls and floors. Stainglass windows is also a nice touch.
The food was very bland. I ordered the Butternut Squash curry. It had no taste, seasoning, nothing. Curries are supposed to be packed with flavour, despite this having coriander and coconut, the flavours were non existent. It also arrived way too quickly after I ordered it. I’m sure it was microwaved as it wasn’t hot either. The kitchen is next to the women’s bathroom and I noticed a staff member use her bare hands to put cooked chips in a bowl. I wouldn’t order food again.
Tiny Shepherd Neame pub, funnily enough in Bloomsbury. Excellent staff and people clearly enjoying themselves, clearly a good mix. Dining upstairs is available but full on my visit. However, this suggests it is good. A lovely pub worth a visit.
A great London 'boozer'. We had some fab cold beers and guiness upstairs. Great friendly bar staff - top marks!
Lovely and clean, great beer and food and fabulous bar staff to top it off.
