Wivelsfield station has a ticket office which the government would like to close, a ticket machine, a number of helpful staff, and two reasonably well equipped platforms. The southbound platform has the toilet and larger shelter. This platform also has wheelchair access. The London bound platform does not have this access, steep stairs only. It could be built easily, but no one seems to want to spend the money. The ticket office is sometimes closed, but they do sell the best tickets there, sometimes much cheaper than the options from the ticket machine or on-line
This station is served by southern & Thameslink trains. There are no ticket barriers here & no disabled access to the platforms. Or station entrance. The staircases to the platforms are not that wide. Both platforms are long for 12 coach long trains.
Wanted to leave a review and give a big shout-out to Ben who works on the ticket desk! Every time I have bought a ticket from him, he’s always been super helpful with getting you the best deal and gives good advice on routes to take. Really nice guy, deserves some praise :

This is a fairly quiet station, receiving around 8 trains an hour, with the direction depending on the time of day. The southbound platform has a disabled entrance, but the northbound platform doesn't. If you can't use stairs and need to travel up to London, take a quick trip to Burgess Hill station, where there is disabled access to both platforms.nnAs for facilities, there's a toilet, large shelter and the aforementioned disabled access on the southbound platform, while the northbound platform has a couple waiting shelters. There is a manned office here, however it's open times fluctuates. There's also automatic ticket machines and no barriers
