The best fish and chips I've ever had, lovely big portions at a great price. You could tell the fish was super fresh and the chips done in a proper beef drip. The staff were extra lovely and went out of their way to make sure we could all sit together. Highly reccomend.
Sat in and had fish and chips for lunch on a bank holiday Sunday. We were seated straight away and food came out nice and quickly. A tad on the pricey side but it was table service so did expect to pay more than a takeaway. No complaints would happily return.
We decided to eat here after seeing it on Apple Maps. It was apparent on arriving it was a popular place to go, with having to wait outside. Once inside though, sadly it didn’t seem that the staff wanted customers coming in, with people waiting outside although there were empty tables. Staff seemed fed up, with one calling a friend saying she is looking for another job. Despite the disappointment with the staff experience, prices were reasonable, food tasted good with plates piled high, so compliments go to kitchen staff.
Delicious fish and chips, quick and friendly service, quite busy but we managed to get a table anyway. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for traditional fish and chips! It's opposite the pier and right by all the major amusements, its reasonably priced too!
Discrimination against disabled people here. I was really looking forward to this after seeing the food being eaten outside earlier and who said it was very good. So I decided to go back later. When I came to the door the server said very abruptly "if you want to come in you have to leave that outside" pointing at my mobility scooter. I said that it folded and then they said "if it folds it will go up there" pointing at the mezzanine upstairs! I was shocked at their manner and left. Inside there was lots of space. More than enough. I have been in plenty of places with far less space. Even if there was little space the equalities act 2010 States businesses must make reasonable adjustments. No fire exits or pathways would be blocked. I am posting a photo to demonstrate because I am shocked at this obvious discrimination. Wheelchair accessibility: Refused although flat entry.
Lovely food, very helpful staff, Just need more of them so more people can appreciate the food. Food: 5/5
Excellent, two medium fish suppers, one cod one haddock, both perfect. Good service, friendly, prompt and efficient. Absolutely nothing vaguely negative. Would go again but I feel 1750 miles is too far even for such an excellent supper.
Lovely haddock and chips, very generous portions. Was made to feel very welcome by Andy. Thank you.
Good fish and chips by the beach all cooked nicely with very fresh fish. No complaints here!
Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Portions are small, and the food is not the tastiest I've had. Worth looking elsewhere if you want a treat. With the price of fish and chips nowadays, it needs to be good.
