Hand's down the best gluten free fish & chips I've had! The haddock was succulent and sweet, the batter was very light and crisp, honestly delicious, and the chips were perfect. I couldn't ask for better!
An excellent Fish and Chip shop tucked away from Scarborough town centre. Great Vegan offerings. We had the Tofu fish and chips, which was amazing. The big chunky chips were perfectly cooked and the tofu was very convincing as fish. A really good price as well. Definitely recommend and worth the walk from the town centre. Will go again.
Amazing service 100% gluten free which is just fantastic!! To have the reassurance of dedicated fryers and preparation area is wonderful. Have already recommended it to family and friends! Hands down best fish and chips we’ve had for a long time

Being a fish & chips connoisseur from South Yorkshire, I can testify that these are quite potentially the best fish & chips F&C I've ever had... having being diagnosed with a severe wheat allergy two years ago, I have delved into the world of gluten free F&C. I can safely say the majority are absolute garbage. However, Cappleman's is something special.
Went here after seeing it was Vegan friendly, did not disappoint! Good portion sizes for the money and really lovely to see a place having a range of options. Seemed like they actually cared about dietary requirements, would definitely be going back
Great choice on the menu, fantastic that they do gluten free, even the vinegar s GF! Had cod and chips, the batter was lovely and crispy, chips cooked to perfection, very nice curry sauce and good size portions. Great value, great quality.
Cracking Fish and Chips best I had this year. Their homemade tartar sauce was also brilliant. Good selection for vegans/veggie too - next time I will get tofu!
