Recently hired a van from Kendall Cars for my dad to move some of my furniture from the UK to France and I was very happy with the process from start to finish. Kendall were very clear about everything, including the costs some additional costs were required for going abroad and for extra mileage, but with everything included it was still a very decent price and any additional admin e.g. insurance we needed to do in advance. The vehicle was clean, modern and spacious, received with a full tank of petrol, and the drop-off was very flexible in terms of hours. Have added a couple of photos of the medium van we hired, for context. Special shoutout to the receptionist / customer service contact at the South Wimbledon branch who was really friendly and helpful! Fully recommend!
I rented a car for the second time from Kendall Cars Ltd South-Wimbledon branch on the side of the underground exit. What can I say except that they give a really good quality service, on both occasions, punctual, accurate. The car was delivered to me in perfect condition. Strongly recommended based on my experience.
Rented twice with both branches in Wimbledon. Had an amazing experience! Friendly staff, smooth processes, great prices. Absolutely loved it!
I have used this branch of Kendall Cars probably about 10 times since living in London. They're always cheaper than the more well known franchises nearby e.g. Enterprise in Earlsfield and haven't ever been pushy about trying to sell CDW insurance or any other hidden fees / extras which other firms do. Service is always polite and efficient at the front desk, and have found them incredibly reasonable whenever I've had any questions about a vehicle. All cars have to be returned at 08:00am on your final day, so just be aware and add on that extra day if you don't want to get up early. This branch isn't always open check weekend hours so sometimes you have to return to their 24hr spot around the corner on Lombard road. It's a bit further to walk to the tube, but can't really fault the convenience of being able to drop off whenever you like.
Have used Kendal for a number of years, generally ok and overlooked the things that weren't. However we recently hired a car that didn't have any functioning fan or AC, so steamed up on the motorway, driving in the rain with the windows open. To top it off, the car STUNK of cigarettes smoke, which even came off the steering wheel onto your hands. I raised a complaint as these problems weren't immediately evident when collecting the car, but my complaint has been totally ignored. I recommend finding somewhere else
Visiting from Australia we hired a car for almost two months. We were happy with the competitive pricing and the staff at the South Wimbledon office, Kirsty & Ben, were friendly and efficient. The car we hired was exactly what we needed and we had no problems with out whilst travelling all over the UK. Unfortunately we incurred a Penalty Notice on our first day for driving up a road with certain Low Emission restrictions London is full of potential driving fines and the signage is not very clear. We appealed against the fine explaining our situation and with the helpful support of Renata in Kendal's Guildford office and the fine was cancelled. All in all we were very pleased with Kendal and we will use them again when we return to UK next year.
Cant recommend this place any higher. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Pick up was quick, Vehicle was great. Return process was out of hours, and was easy, drop off point was close to public transport.
Don’t really review but after the third time I have used them I think it’s only fair to give my opinion, they are brilliant have used a lot of hire companies and these are right up there with the best of them , been trading for many years and I can clearly see why , would highly recommend , thank you again Kendall cars
We were a little disappointed in the service at this branch of Kendall cars, I had called up and had a pretty extensive conversation requesting a certain car that we had hired from them before, because it was a good size for 5 people and luggage, we were promised this car but when we got there the guy said it wasn’t available. I realise this isn’t normal practice to request a car but why say we can have it if you aren’t going to reserve it. While checking in, the staff member did the bare minimum and didn’t go through dents on the car or anything, he also told us we could drop the car off there out of hours, but we got back from the trip in a rush to get to the football final and the carpark was all locked up, with no cars in it and no access. Possibly this experience was a reflection of just the one guy working and not the whole company
Had a great experience, fantastic van for a good price. Easy collection and drop off, able to drop off at any time of evening. Brilliant Service Thank you Cheryl
