I really enjoyed visiting this gallery — it was actually my first time there! I hadn’t planned to go, but since it’s located right next to the main road and so easy to find, I decided to stop by.nnWhat impressed me the most was the art, the history, and the storytelling throughout the gallery. Everything was presented in such a detailed and thoughtful way. I really appreciated how each section had clear information and meaningful descriptions.nnThe coffee shop inside was also beautiful and well-decorated — it actually inspired me to make my home feel as cozy and stylish as that space!nnBut my favorite part was the garden and park area. It was full of flowers, butterflies, and even birds — all so beautiful and peaceful. The flowers were especially stunning. The whole area was quiet and relaxing, with everyone just minding their own business, which made the experience even more serene.nnAnd luckily, the weather was absolutely perfect that day!
Beautiful small museum about William Morris. The exhibition was short with not too many works of his. I loved the morris mania exhibition that was a small room showing how his designs were used in films and different products. The shop offered a lot of souvenirs. I spent around 1 hour at the exhibition, the cafe and the park surrounding the museum. Not the most convenient location. Worth going if you have a lot of extra time in the city.
A lovely free gallery and museum in the heart of Walthamstow. Friendly staff child friendly spaces and a cafe and giftshop.nOutside there is a lovely food market every Saturday.nNot to mention the beautiful gardens to explore.
This gallery is a tribute to William Morris, who was a gran designer and visionary in many aspects. The rooms take you through his life, work, social views and actions, and more. Every time I visit here I get inspired in my creative and private life. The gallery is free and open Tue-Sun 10-5. Right now they're running another exhibition- Morris Mania, it's a collection of objects with his designs anyone can donate or lend their items. There's a gallery shop, cafeteria and you walk out right into Lloyd's Park, it can easily be made into a daytrip but not necessary.
We were greeted with a smile and directions as to how we should explore the gallery.nnAdmission is free.nnThere is basically no parking, just 3 disabled parking spots available but to use them you have to call in advance and let them know you're coming.nnIt's a short walk from Hoe Street.nnThey have the Islamic Art Exhibition up and it's fantastic. The gallery also has a little cafe and a park at the back so good for little kids who need a run around afterwards.
