This place is like second home to us, the good, the staff, the atmosphere is incomparable! Represent whiteabbey village very well, it's warm, welcoming and stylish. Yes, you have to queue up for a bit but well worth it! We all need to be a bit patient anyway so a little waiting for something good ain't bad will be back soon
The luck of having this in the village. It’s such a great place. Lovely staff - great food as a non meat eater there is choice for me - the salads and often, the soup - they could do a veggie option daily? It’s just wonderful but as the queues at lunchtime show - keep it quiet!!
So disappointed with the food. All meat had a weird texture, definitely wasn't roast beef. Sausages were as chewy as squid. Starter portion sizes. Weird tasting sauces that ruined the food. I asked could I pay for a side salad and they said my food came with salad on the side. Soggy tomato with a bit of soggy lettuce drowning in that dressing isn't a side salad. We came from the west to try here. It's a cheap copy of the west gourmet sandwich in duncarin.
IMO the only decent cafe this side of Belfast. The coffee is good & they have oat milk. They usually have an incredible selection of cakes rasp&whitechoc cake 10/10, a great selection of hot lunch options and HUGE range of sandwich fillings Chicken pesto foccacia 10/10. Staff are also really friendly, even when it's super busy. Try to avoid the lunch rush, when it's not busy you can sit by the window and look out over the sea.
The Whose Art Café is perfect for a quick lunch which is what we had today. My wife got her usual chicken, chorizo and smoked cheese on sourdough, I got salt and chilli roast beef in ciabatta. Both sandwiches were delicious as usual and I would expect nothing less. The food is always good as is the service. The only downside here is at busy times you will most likely have to queue but that just proves the popularity of the place. If you haven't been already I suggest you give it a go!
