We booked 2 rooms with Whoop and to be honest the rooms weren't so bad. It's a 3 star hotel so wasn't too bad. They have a gym and swimming pool with free access. The place was clean, the bathroom and bedrooms were clean. Yes it could do with a little makeover but nothing wrong with the place. The bloke on reception was amazing and customer service from him was brilliant. The comment further down about the hot water not working, you have to remember you've got to let it flow a few minutes to get through but the hot water was working. All in all we would stay again.
We are staying here now - leaving today . We just took a night away after a hard week at work . Room clean and big ; pool great and steam room . We found staff friendly and a great location on the doorstep of Kirby Lonsdale . For a hundred pounds a night it’s fine / we enjoyed it ! It’s what you make it - family time for us with our son !
Disgusting. On arrival was told that facilities for the spa and pool was not open. So a let down from the first instance, Upon returning to the room after a meal which was not provided by the hotel as the restaurant and bar are not in use The room had mould in every corner of Room 7 which you could smell and also the weirdest of all things being a dead fly left on display on the window sill ? All in all the worst hotel I’ve ever set foot in avoid at all costs as you will be disappointed.
Only 1 Star because I have to leave something. I would sleep in my car before staying here again, NO staff on reception, NO food, NO Spa available unless during the working hours nothing in the evening or weekends. NO breakfast and nobody to complain to. Got woken up by dogs barking in the room next door at 5am followed by doors slamming at the dogs were taken out for a walk. Had to run around in the shower to get wet. When tried to contact the hotel for a refund NO ANSWER. STIR CLEAR and sleep in your car it will better
Staying close by for the week. Went in on 3 occasions. First time fri night for a drink told bar not open. Again later on in the week for a drink to be greeted by the person who we thought was on reception hoovering a carpet in their bare feet. Twice i asked what time the bar was open each time got same reply bar closed we just gave up and walked out. The reception area was dark and Dingy and the whole area has a horrible musty smell. The whole place looks rundown. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
Lovely clean hotel. Leisure facilities are also lovely. Unfortunately no food is being served at the moment. And the bar prices are a bit high. Other than that I'd definately stay here again.
0 stars! Cold, damp and dirty! And unmanned. I am only baring it as I am here for work and everywhere else is booked. I have had to change my training plan as literally cannot bare it here and can do 0 work as no wifi in room. No food available, so having to live off pot noodles for duration of stay....I left my cups outside my door for them to change them...they put them back in room dirty...there is literally mould, dust on the windows that are also dripping inside with water....just absolutely dire! Don't be fooled by the pictures of pool... its also in a dire state...
Beautiful location and good pool/gym. The hotel is let down by its '1 man band feel'. No food available although the sign outside advertises a restaurant. A good overnight stop but would be tedious for longer stays.Rooms: 3/5
Deserves minus stars. If you ever have the misfortune to stay or even visit this ghastly place, you may at first think someone is playing a prank on you, but no, it’s actually that bad. The hotel owner should be arrested or at the very least be put in the stocks for a week; though compared to staying at this place that would be an upgrade.
Really odd place. A bit rundown but the man on reception was very nice. Clean towels but the room was dirty, with hairs in the bath and sink. No shower either. Couldn't check out the next morning as everything was locked up so just posted the keys and they took the money out from our credit card without notification.
