Food took 50 minutes to arrive, servers rude and disinterested. Fish and chips were nice, but found a hair in the mushy peas. The tortellini dish was extremely overpriced at £19 for 5 pieces of pasta and some beetroot.
Gorgeous food and wine! Beautiful, cozy setting. Friendly and attentive servers and staff. Had the green side salad with olives & baked brie, the Boar burger with damson and chorizo chutney and Cabernet Sauvignon. We would definitely return.Food: 5/5
The food was nice enough and they cattered for gluten free. However the service was an absolute disaster. No warm or friendly welcome, no customer service, no care given and when issue were raised no come back whatsoever. If you do not want or don't have the skills to work in hospitality well then dont. It's not for everyone. Remember, food can be nice but you need skilled, kind and committed staff serving it. No wonder the place had 5 tables on a Wednesday night in half term.
Lovely place but food was disappointing steak and ale pie far to much pastry and dry, gravy side was very bland and chips very average. Ended up leaving most of my meal. I don't like leaving negative reviews but it isn't cheap and we weren't offered anything to compensate which may have encouraged us to visit again.
Located very close to where we live and service no issues but food overall was awful. Have been before and happy with food in past. Roast dinner lamb was like mush, beef I like pink but was raw / blue and chewy. Roast potatoes were the worst I’ve ever had and reheated tough and inedible. Yorkshire pudding was over cooked and tough. Just a waste of a good meal out and money. Said online no availability from 5:45 yet tables all empty and we were there at 5:45 until 7:30 and empty tables.
Been looking at this pub for a while and desided to pop in today for lunch ! Lovely pub, staff were ok but food was very expensive and very disappointing! The garlic chicken was just that ! A piece of chicken, a pile of coleslaw and a small amount of thin chips, for £16, not even a green leaf in sight. The burger was OK, but the 3 times cooked chips where dry and over cooked I couldn't eat them. Again not a green leaf in sight. We will not be going back to pay that amount of money for food again.
Amazing food for outside weather and service was amazing! staff were attentive and got us everything we needed.Rooms: 5/5
Busy afternoon service but quickly found us a table, friendly staff, some dishes a bit pricey Lamb £32 but the pork belly was very good so quality probably a fair reflection of the price. Beer quality also spot on.
Food a little expensive, small fish and chips with mushy peas £14. Starter was tasteless. Wouldn't go again, that is all 4 of us. Shame as service was good and staff very welcoming.Food: 3/5
Slightly disappointed with the food offerings. The chicken liver parfait was more of a mousse than a pate and the steak came with chips and no vegetables. A nice restaurant which was large and comfortable but somewhat disorganised as waiters were looking around for unused wine glasses as the didn't have enough! Service was ok but a bit slow at times. Restaurant was fairly empty when we visited and prices were quite high. Parking: Seemed to be a fairly large car park.
