We stayed overnight in the motorhome for free. We had a "few" drinks and some lovely food. I had a Lancashire hotpot and my wife had a steak pie, which was a proper pie, not a casserole with a lid. Lovely meals and a great selection of vegetables with the meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly and we happened to have a small private room right next to the bar and had a nice chat with the manager.

Solid portions - served within 10 minutes after we ordered, lovely staff and quiet atmosphere. Really good for families with children.
Lovely cozy atmosphere, friendly service, very fast with the food. The menu was extensive, food was very hot, and very nice indeed.

17 people came here for our stable yard Christmas do and 11/10 would recommend. Great choice of dishes on the festive menu and, although there were 17 of us, everything arrived at the same time, hot and delicious. Staff were attentive with drinks orders and it was a lovely atmosphere. Little festive touches included Christmas placemats and crackers. Can't speak highly enough of The Eagles Head and will return soon. Parking: The "Please Park Prettily" sign had been in the car park for over 40 years. It still makes me laugh when I see it.
Just had the most fabulous meal with friends at the Eagles Head. The food and service was so good I felt honestly that I had been under charged.Great value for money. Rib Eye Pork was perfectly cooked and the Sunday roast meals were excellent.Deserts and coffee for 4 and the whole meal was less than 70 pound. Will be back again soon.
Previous experiences being good, we decided to dine here for a family gathering and understood it had recently changed hands. Disappointing. Good starters but 1 main course poor and only half eaten and 2 main dishes not what was on menu, lack or absence of meat and majority of dish consisting of pickled onions! - not able to eat and were taken off bill but left 3 people hungry with no main course. Other main dishes better but not outstanding. Will not be returning - what a pity.
Lovely friendly Covid secure family meal. Great value, great food. Special thanks to the young lady who was our server, who my 8 year old daughter said was "absolutely awesome"
Great place for just a pint and a chat or for a family meal. Nice atmosphere, good service, good food, good value. Lovely real fire too Definitely recommendFood: 4/5
