Good value in a good location but otherwise not great. Breakfast disappointing and only available up to 9.00. Room ok but no drawers or cupboards with doors. Only half cleaned one day with bed unmade. Restaurant was closed the night we were going to eat there due to maintenance following a leak. Staff were very friendly and helpful but would probably not return.

The staff fitted us in without a reservation which was great but it didn't seem that busy - half the pub was shut off & the half that was open had a few spare tables. They must've been short staffed though; the wait on service & food was incredibly slow even though none of the staff looked rushed off their feet. When we were eventually offered dessert menus they then didn't return to our table to take our order for so long that we gave up, went to the bar to pay our bill & went home. Unheard of for me to skip a dessert but we couldn't face any more waiting around! We were there over 2 hours & probably less than 1/2 hour was spent eating our meals (these were fine, not worth the wait but nothing to complain about either).

Always friendly and ready to help with any issue. Anything that comes up is always happily dealt with. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere.

Good value for money if you get a deal. Ample parking and big rooms. No lifts and a few irksome steps, so watch your feet. Breakfast a bit of a let down in the quiet season, but plenty of alternatives a short walk away.
