Reviews
Don't normal like to visit places between Christmas and New Year as food and service tends to be disappointing, but as we were staying away for the night we had to! Glad to say, this pub was amazing! Popped in to reserve a table and met with friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. When we returned later to eat, we found the menu to be varied enough to be interesting, with choices for most tastes.
I started with the squid rings that came with a sauce that took me back to my childhood! I then had half roast chicken and chips which was cooked perfectly and equally delicious. My wife had another chicken dish which she said we just as tasty! We shared a pudding (sticky toffee pudding) and it was the perfect end to the meal.
Very reasonable in price too. Highly recommend a visit here.

Outstanding take on traditional food. Wonderful brisket cottage pie. Book a table because it's very popular, with excellent service. We paid about £30 per head for main, dessert, a drink and a tip. No car park but easy parking a short walk away at library/community centre.

The fish and chips were excellent! Large portion and very tasty. Recommend booking ahead as it gets very busy in the evening

We were meeting a group of friends just for a drink but my husband and I were hungry so ordered food. It's a little pricey but when the food came out it was delicious. They even came over to check if we wanted dessert as the kitchen should have been closing. Cosy feeling to the place.
