The White Hart inn, in the beautiful and peaceful village of Moreton, Essex, is the perfect pub for good food, drink, and company.

Story

This 16th century inn continues to welcome its visitors warmly, with fine food and drink, and events for all the family.

A good choice of freshly prepared food is on the menu, and specials are available daily. Serving food all day, there is both a full menu and a very reasonable two-course set menu.

All of our wines are provided by Toby Webster's Black Dog Wine Company. All very fine, and very carefully sourced.

Food was wonderful and a great price. My girlfriend and I decided to have a late lunch or early dinner at the White hind and chose to eat from the set menu, 2 courses for 13.50 (at the time of writing) we both chose the slow roasted pork belly and sticky toffee pudding and it was lovely perfectly cooked and lovely. The wait staff were great not constantly at your shoulder but did check how everything was at a good time. I can't eat certain things and the waitress was more than happy to check if I could eat my chosen dish. All in all a lovely good priced meal out, we will be returning

Great food, nice atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Just a little short on vegetarian options, other than that, a great place to eat!

The set lunchtime meal of starter and main course for £12.95 was of excellent quality and nicely presented by friendly staff. The ambience inside and around this local gastropub is worth travelling for.
