Very very nice food, beer is on form and super friendly staff. Chef did an excellent job tweaking his menu at all. Lovely views in the garden. Great place for little kids to.run around too. Keep up the good work. Service: 5/5
Lovely food but service was poor. We were carefully ignored for about 25 minutes after we finished our main courses, we had intended to order dessert but by the time we could attract attention from the staff who were behind the bar and not busy we had changed our minds. I also couldn't make anyone see I wanted another drink so I had to leave the table part way through my meal to ask at the bar. No issues with the food, that was really good, but after a good start the service was appalling.
Food and staff great! We had some allergies within our group, spoke to the chef and staff and couldn’t of done more for us to ensure we could eat a lovely meal knowing it was safe to eat. Highly recommend!Service: 5/5
We are staying nearby so booked in for dinner and were in for an extremely pleasant surprise. The pub, staff and food were first class! Our table of 4 enjoyed haddock gratin, bacon & chicken salad and steak burger & homemade chips followed by the most sublime Apple & BlackBerry crumble and chocolate brownie cake with salted caramel ice cream and chocolate sauce. Staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was interesting and clean. Highly recommend a visit. We've booked to go back on Sunday to try a roast!!
Food was very good but service, although friendly and polite, was extremely slow. We were in full and clear view of the bar, and the only diners inside as far as we could tell, but we were left unattended for a full 25 minutes after finishing our main course before plates were cleared. We opted not to stay for dessert.Service: 2/5
The food l had was awful. Seafood salad with new potatoes which were cold. The seafood was hurriedly defrosted and l didn’t feel at all comfortable eating any of it. Would never come here again or recommend anyone else to eat here. Dreadful.Location: 4/5
A nice pub, garden is nice with a play area and good undercover outdoor eating sections. Food OK, service OK. Would return as it is convenient for the river.Service: 3/5
Stayed here for a wedding reception, good food, excellent bar service. The reception was in the garden, which has wooden units in can be heated, the buffet was in one a photo booth in another one. Garden has a play area for children. Small amount of bedrooms all in the main 16th century building. Well worth a visit and a stay.
Attended the annual beer & music festival. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and super fast service. All the bands were great too. Highly recommend.
We weren't made.to feel welcome, asked if we had made a booking, after some fuss we were shown to.a empty restaurant area, had to ask to place our order for drinks and food, had to wait quite a while for our meals. The food was good shame about the service Service: 1/5
