Busy looking place. Suited me, I loved all the interesting things to look at. All the staff, and the owner were pleasant and accommodating. The food was excellent. Would love to stay here again one day.
Visit if you don’t mind the misogynistic old bloke making unnecessary comments. Just unnecessary behavior in this day and age. Seems like a bit of joke but actually taken quite personally. Won’t visit again. One star is one too many.
Fantastic place to visit with family and friends the owners are kind and friendly the food is fantastic and the bar staff are quick to serve
We had a really pleasant family Sunday lunch at the Ostrich during our visit to Robertsbridge. I'm glad we booked, as it seems a popular place for a roast. The portions were generous, with a good variety of veggies, and the lamb was particularly good. We felt very looked after, and I was particularly touched by the tiny petit-four pudding I was given because I didn't order dessert when everyone else did! The location is so convenient, near the station, and we had a good country walk afterwards.
Absolutely love The Ostrich.. Tony and all of the staff great.. People first. Sunday lunch is brilliant. A proper pub to properly relax in. A lovely garden to sit in.. Unlike any other pub, this is a unique place. We love it!
Owners are really nice,if you want modern it won't be for you,Tony,is a collector of anything old.nothing matches, it's very oldy worldy!! Room was clean, beds were comfortable and clean. that's my big must have, also its been yrs since I slept with blankets and eiderdown, went back to childhood . Breakfast really was fab full English, juice, coffee, toast.cooked really well. We would go back.
Stopped in after a lovely weekend in the town. Had an amazing Sunday roast and they were great with changing up some of the dishes for us. Good price and a stunning garden
We were first attracted by the extraordinarily, lush beer garden and then decided to stay a night. This place only gets better! Quirky Victorian decor - a labour of love by the wonderful owners Tony and Rosemary who clearly puts people before profit. An unforgettable stay - we will be back!
Visited this lovely pub today for a quick one on the way to the train station. Friendly landlady and locals made us feel really welcome within minutes of walking through the door! I wish I was more local but I’ll definitely be back
Lovely quirky Inn. Very friendly and as excellent breakfast. A little different from your average and worth a visit.
