Nice old historic friendly pub, good food.. reasonable priced
Excellent place, very friendly. Landlord trying his best to keep a old style pub going. Live music regularly.
A proper old fashioned pub. Was just out for a walk with the dog and thought I would call in for a pint. Landlord was very friendly and welcoming and was happy for the dog to come in too. There were a few locals in who were friendly too. Had a pint of Cruzcampo which hit the spot and wasn't overly expensive.....certainly pay more at home for a similar pint. All in all a nice place and would definitely go again
Lovely food friendly staff good prices and clean

Went yesterday for lunch having read some good reviews. Not disappointed at all. We had one roast lunchI had a selection of meats,ham,pork and beefwhich were all tender and plentiful. My good lady had steak pie which she was happy with as well. Will go for a repeat visit on what I believe is a great Sunday roast.
A friendly local pub. The food was very good and all freshly cooked. There wasn't much choice for vegetarians but when we mentioned this the chef told us they would be looking at changing the menu next week as the kitchen has only been open for four weeks and they had concentrated on what they knew they could sell. The only downside was the lack of real ale, the only choice was Greene King IPA, but sadly they are not alone in having such a small offering.
Well only called in this pub twice but the first time nothing really to review no food no manners no welcome which was over 6 months ago but this time a very warm welcome and happy to help bar staff they could not do enough for you plus there was good banter at the bar with the locals . The barmaid mentioned they were doing food and offered me a menu for the price I thought il try some of that but didn’t really expect much but it was a real nice surprise roast beef decent portion plus the gravy was the icing on the dish to me the food was really good the service very friendly and warm it makes you want to call again . Thank you so much
Went to the white cross inn with a few friends, on a Thursday late afternoon/early evening, the atmosphere was nice, not many people in, we went for something to eat, the cook was very accommodating, polite and friendly, our food was nice the portion generous and worth the price. We will definitely be visiting again.
Lovely pub, friendly and helpful staff Great range of beers, definitely planning a return visit soon.
