Faultless. Well, my only niggle is I couldn't find how to make an online booking so had to call and call all morning to get through and book. Once here, food was above average for "pub grub", lots of choice on the menu. All served promptly and piping hot. You could pay more and get less, you could pay more and get more but you can't pay less and get as good.
Really nice food, only would of liked it a little hotter. Spotless and lovely staff. Can't wait to go in warmer weather and sit outside as the views are gorgeous.

Myself and my mum visited the Whitchaff for the first time today and what a lovely experience we had! They had a great selection on the menu and what we ordered was super tasty. All the staff were really lovely and welcoming, we were checked on regularly to make sure all was well with our meals and asked if we needed more drinks often. Our server Tom was an absolute superstar and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed in a friendly and very polite manner. We will definitely be visiting again when we can!
Very nice food. Excellent menu choices. Staff were attentive and friendly but a little to quick to walk off from the table before fully taking the drinks orders. Will certainly be returning though and recommending.
Best pub in the area ! Called in today for dinner and drinks. Sat out the back in the garden on a nice summers evening. The staff are very friendly attentive. The food menu is very very good with lots of choices for all tastes. Drinks came straight away. Food arrived just at the right time and was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
0 JULIE WHITTAKER It really pains me to write this review. I've been coming to the whitchaff since childhood and it's always been amazing. In a lot of ways, it still is amazing, but I've felt a little disappointed the last 2 times I've been. The refurbishment is lovely, although I think it's lost a little but of its character. The staff are lovely, very friendly, but just lack a little something. Maybe it's just lack of experience or a little more training is required. A few smiles would be great. The food, there is a lot of it, but both times, my food has been very oily, maybe the fat hasn't been hot enough when the food has gone in. This has left me with an upset tummy on both occasions. The atmosphere is always really buzzy, but sometimes seems a bit chaotic. It would definitely be amazing value for money, with a few little changes. A few little tweaks could make The Whitchaff really amazing. I hope this doesn't upset anybody, as I know you all work so hard, but sometimes it's just the little things that make something fabulous.
Great service and amazing pub food - perfect portion size and lots of variety. A really great evening with friends. Will definitely be returning!
The place has been done up and they've made an excellent job. Food was great and reasonably priced. Service could have been tad better.
Food was good, however they "lost" our reservation so we ended up squashed up with 2 tables put together. Place was full and busy, took about an hour for food to arrive. The people on the next table were very loud and rowdy, nothing was done to quieten them.
