Having wanted to come here for a while, we decided to take a trip on a cold snowy night, with it being only a 5 minute walk I have to say, it was well worth it. It's a quaint small pub with a nice atmosphere, locals conversing about their days and enjoying the log fire with their dogs. Me and my girlfriend were eager to try their burgers, she wanted to try the vegan one but sadly it was not available.. however the chef personally came over to her and discussed other options and gave up something he wanted for himself to make her something vegetarian on a whim. I was impressed he did that for her. The food was so good, I had a normal meat burger with chips and side salad, the meat was fresh as you can taste it was formed from proper mince beef and not randomly got from the freezer out of a box from Iceland. Hats off to you, I should also mention the drinks are so well priced.. £3.55 for a dissaronno and coke/JD coke.. Bravo. We are absolutley coming again.
Great beer and fantastic food. Food made to order,totally fresh. I had spicy meatballs, fantastic. My wife had a steak sandwich, equally as good. The best food in Rossendale, they could make a fortune.
Been coming here since 1994, and this was our first vist in couple of years, and we will be back! The beer is as excellent as ever great range and quality. We didn't even know food was available, but there were some very enthusiastic d.iners around. Pizzas, burgers and other things at prices that were amazing value. Just need to factor in a trip back to try the food.
Just moved to the area. Fantasic find. Micro brewery on site. Very reasonable prices for real ale, keg lager and cider. AND they serve food. Quiz night and sometimes entertainment weekends. That me sorted.
Lovely food, great beer very accommodating of my two muddy Jack Russell's. A welcome stop off on a days walk.
Good beer and dogs welcome now serving food and what we had pizza one meat and one vegan and what a surprise homemade pizza dough and lovely toppings we recommend a visit. Next03/03/23 visit for food and beer very good food beer to die for all at a reasonable price plenty of people eating and drinking i definitely recommend a visit
Great place fab beer. Been going 15 years so seen few owners. Went from very old looking to old looking. Still the same friendly and lovely. Try sunshine tho my favourite is stout. Enjoy when u there. Locals are amazing, listen to stories and be a part of community.
As always it's a great place to eat with great tasting food and a little lovely atmosphere x
Went to the Griffin yesterday lunch time for some grub, I had a Cuban Sandwich/panini and a filtered coffee and it filled the spot, sandwich was really good and the staff were very welcoming.thank you
Dont want want anyone to go here as it's a time capsule in its own right. Bar snacks and beer brewed on the premises. Don't want it to get popular or I may not get to the bar!
