Is this a hidden gem or a local treasure? The pub itself has been a local main stay for years and now has new ownership which does not disappoint. It felt like a personal service with a smile and conversation with the food being absolutely delicious and filling. Would definitely recommend reserving a table in advance
Went for Sunday lunch with my wife. We had a starter each and a roast beef dinner. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portion sizes. The staff were attentive and polite which made for a nice relaxed time. If there was one small negative, it was that the service was a little slow, but after all who wants to rush on a Sunday?
Lovely atmosphere, country style pub, roaring fire, dog friendly, all the staff were very nice and welcoming & made a fuss of our dog. Beer was well kept also. A bit disappointed as we tried to order fish & chips after seeing people eating but despite closing the kitchen at 2000 they wouldn't do f&c for us at 1940. So I'll reserve a star until I've tried the food. We do intend to return.
Absolutely stunning food first time here great service amazing food very tempted to lick the plate clean sooo good
This is a lovely little pub and the food is absolutely delicious! It’s a small and cosy traditional pub with very friendly staff. I would suggest booking for a meal at the weekend as they get extremely busy.
Pie and chips was great. Also do decent gluten free options. Very reasonable prices. Good traditional pub!
Lovely place nice roaring fire good food and great staff
Loved it. Cosy little village pub. Warm and friendly. Il definitely be back.
Haven't been for over a year. Used to be very popular. What a difference. There were only 2 tables occupied. Should have realised why, it was practically empty. Food could have been hotter. Small steak very gristly, when staff told, no alternative offered ' I'll tell the kitchen'! Won't be going back.
Came here for some food, after travelling a decent amount of time as were from Sheffield. To find out they weren’t serving food with nothing advertised anywhere to say you weren’t serving food. Won’t be going again
