Food has changed a few times in the last 5 years and each time it gets better Kim and Mandy served us today and like always did a wonderful job "},{"text":"Visited for the evening in a group of 4 particularly to do the advertised quiz at 9:00 pm. Had a meal first but were warned of a 40 minutes wait after we had ordered. Starters arrived at the same time as the main meal. Meal was average, had better, had worse. Wanted a desert at 9.00pm but refused as kitchen was 'clearing up'. This seemed very unfair as we had to wait 40 minutes for a meal which did not allow time for a desert. Table was not cleared at all after our neal. Waited for quiz to begin. Nothing happened until 9:40 pm when quiz sheets were given out. Left as it was now too late. Overall, a disappointing evening."},{"text":"Love meeting up with friends here. Even getting just a coffee they are always really good. The food is lovely with good sized portions. There's a varied menu- not a lot for vegetarians with main dishes but there's sides you can put together & always very tasty. Great prices for food, and drink- the coffees are less than £2! It's often just nicely busy, not too much that you are right next to others though obviously last week it was very busy just before xmas at 3pm but always enough people in that there's a nice atmosphere. There's the seating area for food separate and then towards the other end there's the standing tables were it's often workmen popping in & the TV is there with sports so it's great to be able to choose which type of vibe you're going for. Gotta praise the staff,they are always very friendly & helpful. Last week when it was manic they handled it so well, no signs of frustration they just rushed round and were still friendly, I think it was the manager even had time to sort one of the machines for my friends little lad, he came straight away. We meet here almost every week as its handy for my friend picking up her lad from school across the road & there's 2 big carparks. But we have tried lots of other local places through the year and Sherwood is now our favourite & regular. Avoid leaving around 3.30pm if you're not in the school run though lol."}]
