Nice and cozy pub. Good place to visit with family or Your mates. Regarding the food I would stick to Fish and chips.. we order sea bass with new potatoes but was slightly disappointing. Beers and drinks reasonably priced but food it's bit expensive and You can easily find better and cheaper places to eat in Preston. Parking spaces outside the pub are tight and when U parked then U will have few inches to someone's car door. I wouldn't park anything expensive here haha :
Experienced the last 2 games of Euro 2020 at The Black Bull, Garstang Road. Decent vibes. Frequented by regulars, probably inhabitants of Fulwood, who know the servers by their first name. The bar food was not exceptional. Our feast included home fried nachos very flavourful and fresh, recommended, calamari salt & pepper, onion rings, fish & chips, chicken & pork ribs with Korean styled bbq sauce which was a little dry, tasty succulent chicken wings in Nashville style hot sauce & Hunters chicken I agree, BBQ flavour overload on our table The sweet potato fries should not be missed whereas the treacle sponge pudding can be skipped. 2 cocktails for £8 is a good deal. Good spirit & beer selection. For us, the biggest plus point is the convenience & proximity of the pub to our residence. Ordering and paying on the app makes life easier. Very prompt service and friendly, polite staff. Warm ambience. Good indoor & outdoor seating arrangement. Will we visit The Black Bull pub again? Yes, of course!
Lovely atmosphere in this pub, staff all very friendly. Excellent range of drinks and an extensive menu. I had the mixed grill which was well cooked and a good price. Rob looked after us well all night and we will be returning again soon.
Great pub! Was very busy when we're in and yet service was still cracking. Wasn't sure what to order for food so was offered a taster to try before ordering. Food was lovely. Great value. Lovely staff. Clean bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible. Plenty of parking. Definitely recommend
Went to the Blackball in fulwood , last weekend and had a great night. Plenty of choices on beer, plenty on draft. Staff very pleasant and no their job. I lively friday night with a band playing also. We had booked a table and was well worth doing as it’s a popular place.
We had a great night at the Black Bull last Saturday, The Dead Beats were playing live. Such fun!!! Extremely loud!!! We're not regulars and we didn't dine so can't comment on any other aspects of the pub.
Just been in for tea with a good friend. I had fish and chips, she had scampi and chips. Service was quick, food was hot and really tasty. The pub was really busy.
Lovely warm atmosphere, excellent service and the food was great. My friends and I will definitely be going again. Highly recommend 5*+
Called for a meal, it was good value for money, well presented and tasted good. Nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Large place with plenty of space, friendly staff, warm and comfortable. Would go back again without hesitation. Having been several times I note the portion size has reduced recently.
Friendly staff, clean modern apart from the gents which was dated and had a sticky floor, log fire and good quality food which wasn't overpriced. Would go back. Mist remember to register ur car in the pub tho or risk a fine.
