This was my mom's the doctors are good it's the receptionists I found rude and uncaring
As a GP partner at the practice I have seen the fabulous job the reception and clinical teams are doing while under lots of pressure. We are working to improve the care which others have received and I apologise for the extensive waits other patients have had. We have done lots of improvement in the premises and recruitment of further call handling team just recruited 5 extra reception and 5 call handlers
I rarely leave reviews of anywhere but I am done with this practice. It is next to impossible too get appointments as you literally have to race the phone queue. When I rang yesterday, I got to the front of the queue only for an automation to tell me the practice is closed due to training! Training during practice hours! Absolute joke! Compared to other practices my friends use, this service is beyond poor. Why can't I book for the next day or the day after? Why can't I get a call back or anything other than "Try again tomorrow" or ring "111".
I've been a patient at West Leeds Family Practice for a couple of years now: * The reception staff are professional, friendly and accommodating I know that role can be especially challenging and thankless, given factors way beyond their control * The nurses are *always* jolly. It's great that they can offer things such as blood tests before 8:30am, thus avoiding any disruption to my workday * Dr Bellerby routinely goes above and beyond to ensure I feel looked after and listened to. She's a tremendous asset to the team, and I'm sure that the practice's other doctors and wider staff share her ethos A massive well done all for continuing to provide warm and humanised healthcare, despite tough sociopolitical circumstances.
Can anyone tell me how you get an appointment here? Been trying for 2 weeks to get through. Dial at 8am on the dot and the queue system is at max capacity. 810am all appointments gone. They have an app to make appointments why not utilise it? No wonder a&e is jam packed people can't get to see a gp.
The best doctors we have ever dealt with. All the staff realy helpful. In a time when everyone is complaining about the NHS, they go the extra mile.
SHOULD BE 0 STARS WE WERE PATIENTS AT CALVERLEY Thankfully I haven’t needed this lot but my wife has and she is too much of a lady to leave a review like this but I’m not………………. If you have a job you have no chance at this place because of the terrible appointments system ……..……… if you want a repeat prescription no chance because the system more often than not doesn’t work……………… If you are in pain or are Ill no chance because of the clueless receptionists who are the most unhelpful and uncaring people I have ever heard of . All in all the only thing that this practice does really really well is to turn away people who need a doctor this I find very strange like a butcher saying yes we have meat but you can’t buy any or a florist saying don’t be silly you can’t have my flowers. Public service DONT MAKE ME LAUGH
I have never once been able to get an appointment. This morning I tried to get my one year old daughter in front of a doctor, and I didn't even make it as far as speaking to someone because they cut the call off. Will be registering my child somewhere else which I'm sure is welcome news for some of the staff as they want nothing to do with patients anyway
Spent an hour waiting on hold only to be cut off. Ended up at A&E hours later. Haven't been able to actually speak to anyone at this surgery for months. Please save yourself so much stress and register elsewhere
An absolute joke. Got from 10th to 2nd in the queue but they cut you off after half hour in the queue. Rang back and was back to 9th, really no point. Disgusting. Easier to just kill myself. Found this pic of staff hard at work
