Need to speak to someone in council tax as I’ve got married and need to change my name - emailed a copy of the certificate 2 months ago and have heard nothing. Have tried to call multiple times today, 3rd time I waited for AN HOUR for someone to answer but was then cut off, absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never struggled to get through as much as this and for something so simple!
Following Dorset Council's decision last year to massively increase carparking charges at holiday hot spots across Lyme Bay, I now either travel to Devon or seek out non-council owned carparks, which are nearly half the price. Glad to read recently that the Council's income from carparking over the past year was much, much lower than they had anticipated. Of course, they blame the poor weather in July and August.....blah, blah, blah..... Council's need to realise that they will always reap what they sow. No doubt Devon businesses will be making the most of the extra holiday traffic, crossing over the border this year. That's where I'll be going.
Utter scumbags. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever, yet some of the highest council tax rates in the entire nation. Where’s the money going? Cheaper to park in West London. Plus I’ve seen better kept roads in Beirut. Driving through Dorset is like being on a ride at Thorpe Park. Parking wardens also sit in their little white van’s, then hop out and prey on the elderly.
Disgusting and poor help , myself partner and daughter moved from Weymouth to midlands to give daughter a better life. Our Housing officer called Paul didn't do job right and give all information in and we owed £776 to pay but actually it's £556 and we got that sorted. it's being payed from our universal credit each month as tax recovery debt. They gone through debt collection any it's 699 plus 75 charge and clearly can't get numbers right. Threatened with letters of imprisonment if don't pay. Trying to contact council to have our say to sort this mess out and can't get through, just press 0 for call backs . Still nothing. If carries on will drive down personally and come in building and cause a scene as they clearly don't know what the hell they doing and with stress last year to my partner with child and now second time happening this year too, I might have to take legal action myself for compensation for there stupidly and not doing there jobs right, if anyone gets help from a guy called Paul officer there be warned he's useless and has personal agenda problem against couples who suffer . We're not ATM as in a better place care than Weymouth council
