Amazing stay in Basingstoke at Wessex house, Even though it was a last minute booking my dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was tidy and clean and the breakfast selection was perfect. Local pub was also dog friendly and the takeaways delicious Paul couldn’t have been more helpful.
Lovely and clean, everything you need and more. Very welcoming. We had 3 single beds one mattress needs replacing as it's dipping in the middle but still slept fine. Was quiet and peaceful. We'd definitely stay there again and have already spoke of this. Can't recommend enough.Rooms: 5/5
Very nice place to stay , people who Own it are very nice and very helpful indeed. Nothing to much trouble at all . Food & drinks: Given tea, coffee , milk , 2 biscuits, jam , 2 hot Chocolate
Room was nice and clean. Bathroom also adequate. Room exceeded my expectations to be honest. It had snacks, milk, and breakfast stuff, including cereals, jams, milk, tea, coffee, croissants, etc, which was awesome. Provided iron, ironing stand, microwave, toaster, and hot water kettle. And a room refrigerator as well. Crockery was also provided. : Good value for money.

The rooms are clean, tidy . and warm..The shower is a little slow. Make sure you take your toiletry bags as only hand wash is suppled.. The breakfast was good.. Be aware that there is a 4% charge if you use any card to pay for your stay which I was not told about before my visit. Stayed January 2014.
Very nicely presented. Excellent communication and easability of access. Is a little noisey though as you can hear the other guests quite easily. Overall though it was a pleasant stay with nice clean and tidy room with fresh towels and great facilities
On visiting the Wessex guest house we found the owner very welcoming. She was very helpful with the dietery requirements that we had. The room was bright and had all the amenities that we required. The ensuite was large , bright and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this guest house to other. We would stay here again.
