A simple hotel that is elevated by the people working here as well as by the care put into details. Given it's on the cheaper end of the spectrum, we were amazed about everything we found; from extremely friendly + helpful personnel check-in to kitchen!, clean + well preserved rooms, to interesting angles of Basingstoke in photographs that we found throughout the hotel. Also, very convenient location for anything you'd want to do town centre to train station. Can only recommend, a budget place, done amazingly well!
It's a nice and comfy place to stay. I stayed there for 10 days with my family. We had to wait outside till they clean our room. Few of my daughter's clothes were missing. After i moved out from that place only i came to know about that. Don't know if the room service had taken those. Bad experience though. Take care of your belongings please.
ALL the tables in the dining area were sticky to touch. We know that because the restaurant was empty wonder why? and we went around and tried every one. Gave up and sat at the least sticky. Needless to say that we didn't enjoy the meal experience. Need to change the cleaning process. My room was very noisy for some reason. Will try to stay elsewhere next time.
Premier Inn hotels are always clean and comfortable. This one however has parking problems. There appears to be free parking outside for about 10 vehicles, but they don't tell you about that. Instead they promote the pay and display car park next door, which is horrendously expensive. Cost us almost £12 just to stay overnight. Also, your overnight ticket expires at 0800, so even though the hotel has a generous noon checkout time you can't sleep in because you have to feed the ticket machine at 0800! Also, no complaints about the room but the corridor smelt of vomit. Next time we'll stay somewhere else.
One female staff member needs sacking or some training in hospitality. All other staff members were great and friendly, in particular the young guy on dinner service yesterday Thursday 24th Nov. Room was nice & clean, hotel was peaceful 8/10Rooms: 4/5
Bobby at reception was extremely kind and attentive upon arrival. He made us feel very welcome! This is one of the better Premier Inns I have stayed in.Rooms: 5/5
Stay on whilst on business Nov 2022. I’ve stopped at many premier inns in the UK . With out a doubt this is the most unorganised , dirty and lack lustre hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely beware. The blonde receptionist who was on duty at the time took nearly three hours to book in guests because she was totally incompetent with working the technology and resolving check in issues. The rooms are incredibly poor and are reminiscent of a cheap B&B from the 90s , USB charging ports they dont even know what they are. Room cleaning services only attend rooms after you have checked out , so don’t expect a clean room or new bed sheets when you return from you hard days work, hell they don’t even top up your rooms coffee or tea supplies you have to go get them yourself. The restaurant which is very small has very dirty sticky tables as they don’t wipe down after every use, covid nightmare waiting to happen. There are several free parking spaces outside the hotel which are always full. You have to use the payed car park directly out the back and none of the ticket machines never worked , so your going to get a ticket. For the love of god stay well clear of the premier INN.
Me and my bestfriend had a room booked. Apon arriving the lady at the front desk asked if she was pregnant and made her feel so rubbish about herself. She then went on and said" its better that it wasn't a male that asked you that?. I have never been so disappointed and she made our stay so uncomfortable. The next day as we was still sleeping. The cleaner just let herself into our room. One of us could be getting dressed she then started to knock on every other door I'm so disappointed in the stay in general. I would never think about going back there
So my family and I stayed here before we went to Lapland UK. The receptionist was over friendly to my fiance but I didn't think anything of it due to his job role. However, when he decided to let himself into my room with my fiance and 2 young girls when we were all sleeping this become a huge issue for us. With Premier Inn not having an email address to contact them on I will never be staying in another Premier Inn, due to not being able to bring this to the attention of the right management staff. I'd hate to think what this vial human would of done if I wasn't there to challenge him!
A genuine and lovely warm feel to this place by all of the staff from the front of reception to the kitchen. I experienced literally "THE" most amazing chicken burger and witnessed so much passion as it was crafted, a very animated experience and to admit I did upgrade a couple more pieces to it. Rooms are spotless and spacious. Pretty staff too which adds to the visit. Highly recommended *I only gave 4 stars for location as the carpark is tiny and I did 4 laps of town trying to get to the long stay.
