Story

We sell craft and unusual beers, classic cocktails and a wide range of premium spirits.

We host a number of interesting events, from comedy to classical to northern soul.

"This big bar rocks an urban bordello and burlesque look with its ruby-red ceiling, tassel lampshades and candelabras, with a solid Wild West saloon-style bar top on which to lean, and the separate 'Satan's Circus' mini-club with dance floor." - Time Out

"The Wenlock and Essex has reams of fantastic drinks, a reassuring home-cooked feel to its generously proportioned food and a striking layout that caters for both boozy afternoons and late night partying. Definitely worth a visit." - View London

Good atmosphere and great music. Shame the door staff are rude as heck. Militant and inconsiderate. Drinks are slow to order so order two rounds
Really friendly staff. Covid has definitely impacted it but still a nice place for a date or to get drinks in a small group
Nice venue for casual night out in the area. Good ambience. The dance room can get pretty hot during the summer. Could do with better air conditioning
Good selection of gin although maybe not all the staff will be able to advise you on that subject my personal favourite was Irish Glendalough as well as Harrogate but The Botanist or House East London doesn't fall behind at all! good prices on top of that, oh and great rock music
Went for cocktails and enjoyed a 2 for £10 special. Very well distanced for covid measures.
Really appreciate their customer service.
Not a big fan of places where they want to check your bags before entering. Music was too loud to comfortably hear my friends - we were just going for a pint.
Nice big venue drinks were on offer wich was a bouns. I would defo come back.
