Wellesbourne Fish Bar

After yet another change of ownership, Wellesbourne finally has a great chippy again! They're short of staff so queues can be a bit slow at busy times, but the chips were fresh, batter was light and tasty. Happy to start going there again!Food: 5/5

Highly average. It's a shame that the warm welcoming environment of the good old fashioned chippy is gone. Not just here but lots of them no longer have that charm. Sad timesFood: 3/5

Very slow and rude. 4 people serving 8 people but still managed to take half an hour. Not great fish and chips but expensive.! Shame, Wellesbourne deserves better

Worst burger I have ever encountered. Avoid! Slow service, too.

Placed an order by phone for delivery which was finally delivered 2 hours later, and then it was Wrong. A single portion of large chips with haddock, so imagine my surprise when the delivery finally comes I find out the price isn't what I was expecting because the order is totally incorrect Burger and a tub of ice cream. Delivery driver didn't know what had happened but apologized. Due to me being hungry I accepted the wrong order, it was said they couldn't sell the food again now which was understandable for the burger but not the ice cream, which I didn't want: price for the burger and Ice cream.. £12.90 felt like I had been mugged after.

Chips were lovely. Pizza very plain on pre bought base. Chicken burger. Frozen burger, no sauce or salad in plain bun.

Waited 20 minutes to serve 8 customers in front of me they seem more concerned on telephone orders. For having 6 staff Behind the Counter they were running around like headless chickens. Food was average and in my opinion overpriced. Won't be using again

Excellent. Best fish and chips we have had in years. Very generous portions. Will be back.

The new owners haven’t got it quite right unfortunately. 5 staff working on an Friday night but only 1 of them actually serving the customers physically here - people queueing out the door for well over 30mins +. Others are too distracted by pizzas, burgers and phone orders. Look after the customers that are coming to you!!

Nothing good to say about this chippy since the new owners took over. Been using it for forty years but never again. Quicker to drive to Stratford !!
