Would not recommend this place, sold my car to them and they failed to transfer the ownership of the car to them and didn't cancel my road tax until I took matters into my own hands and made them do it. The woman who served me(who was from another branch) was very nice, but made a mistake and didn't cancel my ownership of the car and road tax due to an error with the computer. This would be no big deal and easily resolved, but the man I spoke to on the phone the next day had absolutely no interest in helping me and was convinced he was right no matter what. Terrible customer service and rude. Getting them to answer the phone was a challenge enough, when I eventually got through the man said he was with a customer and would call me back straight after, he never did. So I rang back before the end of the day. I explained my situation, but he had absolutely no interest in listening to me and tried to brush me off, but when I insisted he listen, I could hear him swearing to himself off the phone. I explained and explained, but he insisted that they had transferred the ownership and canceled my road tax. He seemed so convinced he was right, so I decided to call DVLA myself to be sure. I called DVLA and they CONFIRMED to me that I was right after all. The car was still registered under my name and the road tax had NOT been canceled. What a nightmare. So I called the Weybridge branch again, the same man answered. I explained very clearly exactly what DVLA told me, and yet STILL he insisted I was wrong. I repeated the information to him several times but no matter what I said he had an excuse for it. He then proceeded to tell me that Webuyanycar will put the car on auction, then when it finds a buyer, only then will they transfer the ownership(This is a lie and AGAINST their company policy). When I questioned him about the road tax, he gave me some rubbish about DVLA only processing refunds on the 1st of May. I felt like it was a dead end conversation and I was getting no where with this man who had no interest in resolving my issue, he was determined not to be proven wrong. So I did the only thing I could do(apart from paying DVLA £25 for another V5) and contacted We buy Any Car Head office. They were great and quickly resolved the issue. They checked with DVLA and confirmed that I was right all along, the car was still registered under my name and road tax not canceled. They admitted that the woman who served me and the man I spoke to were wrong and that it is company policy to transfer the ownership and cancel the road tax right after completing the transaction in front of you. So they quickly canceled the road tax and transferred the ownership. Problem solved. It wasn't a big deal in the first place until the man on the phone refused to do his job properly. Have no problem using We Buy Any Car again, but I will be avoiding the Weybridge branch.

Complete time waster and very rude! Made a fuss of us turning up without an appointment, his sign posting clearly stated "no need for appointment." Made a ridiculous offer and put the reason for low offer down to a small dent in vehicle. (wouldn't actually have a clue about car and what its worth). Do not recommend!
