Quick service although several of the staff couldn't make up the listed cocktails. Great to sit outside in the warm weather. Inside, the bar often has sports showing on a screen. Was lucky to have a local choir singing for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Will add bar photos when I find them
Looking for a coffee stop we stumbled upon the Waverley. Perfect. Free on road parking nearby for an hour Mon to Sat or pay and display. Lots of seating inside or out in a well covered patio. Very polite and helpful staff, a good atmosphere with pleasant piped music. Excellent coffee with added home made shortbread. The only thing letting it down was toilets in need of fresh decorations. Great views out to see.
Really nice pub atmosphere. Quite busy but still with enough space to sit comfortably without being too close to other people. Really clean loos, helpful and friendly staff. Good choice real ales and fruit ciders which makes a nice change. Great pub with cracking views of the sea.
Brighton prices. Regardless, it's a nice place, comfy, good location and can enjoy nice sunsets. Definitely overpriced but every now and then it's alright to chill with a pint.
Friendly enough. As a DJ though, it's blighted by having flats above and so has a noise limiter in the function room.. As usual it's set pretty low, although I can't tell you at what point it cuts the power. If you are looking to have a loud, pumping party, this isn't the place, but if you want a quietish disco and have very sensitive hearing, this may be the place. Can't talk about the menu or anything because I was there to entertain.
Popped in on day trip to Bognor for a quick late lunch. We sat in the non smoking outside area and very comfortable looking straight out onto the sea. Lunch of chicken burger was really enjoyable. It came with lots of fresh tomatoes which was a nice touch for me anyway. Would highly recommend.
My wife and I were in the area and popped in for a pint and stayed for a meal. We both had the fish and chips and it was ridiculously fresh and everything was done properly the fish beautifully cooked in crisp beer batter and the tartar sauce tasted homemade and all the better for it! None of your sauce sachet wrestling here, mayo in a mayo bottle, vinegar in a vinegar bottle, all beautifully cooked and ready in a timely manner. All in all an excellent pub fish and chips, delicious and definitely one of the best I've had in a while.
We loved this pub! We were in Butlin’s but we enjoyed leaving to come here. It has the best view in town. Don’t miss it. We came back the next day too because we loved it. Nice music, very nice decor lovely outdoor tables. Full of sunlight. Right next to the beach. The staff and owner all had exceptional customer service. We had the English breakfast both days and it was 10/10. Local sausages, the best tasty eggs. Loved it. They have evening entertainment too but we didn’t get chance to try it. I don’t often write reviews but I do if we love a place. Don’t miss this pub if you are in the Bognor area!
Nice big pub, plenty of tables available, also dog friendly as it was great for us. The food we ordered was delicious and plentiful, good quality and priced very reasonably. Would highly recommend The Waverley, either for a drink or a meal.
Always a friendly welcome and service. Recently enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast, a good choice of beers, spacious and dog friendly too!
