Story

The Broads' multi-award winning Holiday Park & Marina, set in the beautiful surroundings of South Norfolk's Waveney Valley, with stunning south and west facing views across marshes and river. The Park is a wildlife haven, where you can spend hours watching birds, insects and other wildlife from the peace & quiet of your holiday lodge, tent or caravan, or venture further along the river by day cruiser or canoe.

The Park features a family-friendly pub & restaurant, indoor heated swimming pool & café, children's play areas, convenience store, launderette and information centre.

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the site is exceptionally well maintained, with everything kept spotless and presented to a very high standard. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by lovely countryside that creates a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.nnThe toilet and shower facilities were excellent, always clean, modern and well looked after, which really made a difference during our stay. There is also a handy little shop on site that stocks all the essentials, making it easy to pick up anything you might have forgotten. The pub was another real highlight, serving good food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the local area.nnThe surrounding area is well worth visiting, with plenty of scenic walks and interesting places to explore nearby. Whether you're travelling as a couple, with friends or as a family, this campsite has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We genuinely couldn't fault it, thoroughly enjoyed every minute, and will definitely be returning in the future. It's one of the nicest campsites we've visited and deserves every one of its five stars.
Lodge outside is run down our gate was broken off an hot tubs very old. First day hot tub was slimey !!! Location is lovely but our lodge was next to the bins and had no privacy around the hot tub. Very overlooked. not what id expext from a spa lodge!! In a good location and some upgrading this could be a lovely site but our experience wasnt great.
Had a week long break here in a cabin... The cabin was ok.... Could be a lot better and have to pay for WiFi.... The cafe place is hardly ever open... And there is absolutely nothing to do... Not even a nice walk along the river... Just a tiny long single track road in and out... The park looks very tired and unloved to be honest... It needs a lot of work... Swimming pool is tiny and so old fashioned and you have to book even though no one is in it... The worse thing is the cabin was always full of mosquito and I had to go around every night before bed killing them as you get bitten all night. Don't think I'll be back
Positive is that you couldn't fault the staff who are helpful and friendly. Everything else is a complete let down. Photos must have been taken when it first opened. Site is rundown, lodges are shabby, haven't been cleaned properly for a long time cobwebs everywhere, thick dust in the bath, freezer iced up, we had to clean patio furniture ourselves. Thankfully bedding was clean. Bar is overpriced and poor quality food, closes early. Have to book for swimming pool even though empty most of the time. Five miles single track to site is a nightmare, very few pull in areas and you pray no one is coming the other way. Save your money go somewhere else.
We stayed at Waverley River Centre Lodge over half term with my friend and our two children aged 9 and 2, and we were really pleasantly surprised by the lodge. After almost a 5-hour drive, it was so nice to arrive somewhere that was warm, clean and tidy.nEven though it was half term, the site was actually very quiet and peaceful.nnWe quickly learnt that the hot tub was maintained daily, which was very reassuring as it meant the chemical levels were always being checked properly.nThere’s a small park for the children and an on-site swimming pool which does need to be pre-booked. There is also a pub and a small shop on-site that has all the essentials you might need.nThe grounds are lovely for a walk, which was perfect as I brought my dog along too. Most of all, the staff were friendly and kind throughout our stay.nIf I ever visit Norfolk again, I would definitely stay here — and maybe next time I’ll even try sailing a boat!
