We popped in yesterday, my son wanted to check if a book was in stock. I got chatting to an exceptionally lovely lady about the new Richard Osman book. She's probably one of the best staff members I've ever spoken to in my many years of going here. Also, I was delighted to find that I could get round the whole shop in my wheelchair without having to maneuver like I was in a maze. Perfect
A nicely laid out shop with great window displays, book recommendations and friendly staff. I've bought children's books to go alongside the JellyCat soft toys they stock, gifts for friends and family, and many impulse purchases from browsing the tables, and reading the written recommendations on the shelves.
A mainstream and academic book retailer that encourages browsing; some stores have cafes. This store is temporarily close and does only Click & Collect. There is lovely sitting area upstairs with more great books to explore. Have to admit that service is very dry and not friendly. I just give five stars because of the store intellectual value.
The friendly and knowledgeable staff helped me to choose a book for my very picky daughter.
Its a nice shop that tantalising just doesn't have everything you want. The computer reference book is woeful, and while the game section is good, it could be better. Waterstones is a shop I want to love but just doesn't always deliver for my area of interest.
Best place for the latest books! Great displays and knowledgeable staff. We always come here for gifts and to stock up on books to read.
Pleasant enough book shop in the shopping centre. Bit limited on non fiction upstairs. Looked for music but most books where just biographies rather than what I would expect a selection of maybe sheet music or books of music and theory books. Also the language section was sparse. For me there would be more "how to's". Still, a good place to spend time browsing although I didn't buy anything.
Very good variation of books, the staff are always very friendly.
Lots of choice and helpful staff. Sometimes they stock only the most popular/obvious works by authors. The philosophy section is a bit bare bones. You can order though. You can find several books in charity shops at a fraction of the price if you're watching you're spending
