Fascinating TARDIS of a bookshop, literally filled and double-stacked. Eccentric, attentive and knowledgeable owner. The pictures are the only way to do it justice. There are books stacked on the floor and hovering above your head. Piles, stacks, cascades. A veritable trove. Some measure of shelf wear — or at least evidence that books had been there so long they were almost melding with their shelves. Very reasonable pricing — the pencilled prices were not the sale price and considering the books we picked up, there was no cause to haggle. Potential to be paradise or nightmare, depending on your interests and levels of book-based anxiety! Recommended to visit at least once, just for the experience.
Amazing little bookshop! So interesting could have lost myself here for days!
We have been visiting this gem of a second hand bookshop for the last eleven years. Everytime we come on holiday we visit, and it does not dissapoint. Managed to pick up four great theological books to add to my ever grwoing collection, and all for just twenty pounds which would normally cost me close to £100 new. A friendly place to visit, and if your a book lover then prepare to spend several hours in here.
What an incredible place this is,my wife and I spent ages in there,if you ever go near this place definitely call in! So many old and wonderful collectable books!
Amazing, must be many thousands of random books, in piles on shelves, stacked to the rafters and on every topic and every type. If you saw this shop in a tv series where maybe a detective walks in investigating a crime, well you would say there was no way that this kind of shop old exist. But it does. Go and buy a book
This is my favourite shop in Morecambe, I always make a note to come here whenever I visit. I really enjoy the process of looking around the vast array of books both old and new, looking for some interesting ones to get. You can find some real gems if you're willing to spend the time looking.
The owner was extremely helpful and knew where everything was. I've never seen so many books in one shop, it's an absolute Aladdins Cave and it's fabulous !
An absolute must visit for book lovers. The shop is much bigger than it looks from the outside, it almost feels like magic. I spent almost 2 hours here, and I definitely could have spent longer. Everyone was also very friendly, helpful and easy to talk to.
Fantastic shop. Amazing amount of books. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
What an amazing bookshop. A hidden gem. Please support your local bookshops as they are gradually disappearing.
