Lovely food, great service and good prices Parking: Lots of free parking available
Following a hospital appointment, my husband and I treated ourselves and a friend to a meal here. We ate from the lunch menu, and were served by Kira in the bar area. Service was friendly and well-timed. No rush to finish, and helpful pointers to our options. The food was fresh and cooked to our liking. The gammon our friend ordered was not overly salty. Each plate was about the right amount of food for a filling but not heavy meal. Highly recommend to others. Parking: The car park is well set out and easy to manoeuvre through. There was plenty of spaces.
I have given 4 stars for the new manager Martin as last night we had a family meal at the watermill and had to speak to him about some issues with our meal. Martin did this with total respect for us and we found him very professional. We will be back to see him in the new year. Thank you to all the staff who was very cheerful and helpful. Happy Christmas to you all.
We went in for breakfast, the manager Karen H was rude and unwelcoming, asked if we had booked, no we hadn't! Doesn't say we have too. Then said with attitude well you will be my last walk in we're busy, they were not. Sat us down, didn't explain where to find tea, coffee walked off, our waitress came, Abby lovely lady took our order. Karen brought our food over, eggs! Hash brown! Not hello enjoy your food.. walked off, another 2 lots of customers come in as walk ins, also rude to them. Every time she walked pass us we got a dirty look. Karen walked passed again, we asked if we could order more food, rudely answered I will send her over! Was rude when we asked for more milk as it had run out . This lady attitude will not help your business, if we are walkin, booked or staying at your business, she will not help you get another booking. Food was lovely nicely cooked, and hot.
Ate here a number of times, can be hit or miss. Normally, friendly helpful staff. Tonight however, came for a couple drinks and bar snacks.....only about 3 items off the menu available, served a pint of coors with no head whatsoever & when I asked about this! Felt dismissed as though I'm stupid.... was going to do 2 star, but have had better times before for sure!
I haven't been to the water will for a few years and I'm afraid it's gone down hill since I went last. A lot of stuff wasn't available not a problem selected other items. It turned up and the bread roll was stale and the veg that was with the food was on its last legs. Obviously a delivery didn't turn up and old stock being used. Such a shame as it used to be really nice here. If you haven't got stock don't open or tell the customer. I won't be coming back here again I'm afraid.
The food is awful i had ribs, and they were tough. The chicken was overdone and dry. The service was OK, but we waited longer for the desserts to come out than the main course. When they did eventually turn up, it was wrong. There's an older lady serving in the bar area who was unhelpful and a bit rude. Won't go back.Food: 1/5
Good food but small portions. Couldn't give atmosphere more than 2 stars as there was little at best. Not helped by having some small area's of seating down stairs from main entrance, some area's of seating at entrance level and some small area's of seating upstairsFood: 3/5
Went for a pre Christmas family get together. Firstly, when you have to book a table what sort of place runs out of roast dinners close to Christmas? This place! Aswell as a few dishes off the menu. Apart from that, food good, service good & friendly & patient staff.Food: 3/5
Went out for a meal with my good lady , the carpark was full but only half was in use as the other half blocked off because of fly tipping. The staff were OK but looked cheesed off and probably overworked or fed up with the customers lack of manners. Food was average for the money infact I thought the drink price was slightly above average. Everything considered it was really OK but just ok . Not for a romantic meal for two but a fuss free no airs and graces family grub place ..... perfect .
