Had to wait in queue to get in for lunch a couple of days ago, but many tables were actually empty. Food was good and didn’t wait long. Free coffee refills are lovely.
Such amazing history and great pub in general.
It's a Wetherspoons so cheap drinks and good value for money. Most staff are polite, you get the odd one that's a bit off, but mostly they are helpful and friendly. It can get busy, friendly enough customers as long as you don’t queue jump. Given the area I wouldn't expect too much.
Great location definitely worth a few pints before you head out into any messy situations you make encounter the further the night will go on, staff are very polite and the Small blonde girl has efficient customer service skills and strives to make my experience here very pleasent.
Food was shocking. Steak was raw. And food cold.. felt chilled. This was pointed out to staff. Who gave me the impression they couldn't be arsed.. but did agree with me that it was cold and under cooked. And offered to warm it up.. I obviously declined the offer.
It wasnt particularly busy being a tuesday afternoon but still all my drinks came within 3-5 minutes of ordering and all the staff were welcoming and very friendly. They had it set up that if you didnt have the app you could sit at a table and order with table service and I cant say enough how nice all the staff were.
Great staff, well spaced out and lovely food
We have been in lots of times as I have said previously always good but to day we only had a quick drink.
Very fast service using the phone app food is lovely and best prices
