Lovely day out. Large park. Usually has something going on. Children's play area and splash pool. Tennis courts. There's a cafe where you can get sandwiches drinks ice cream etc. Also a visitor centre and toilets. These are clean. Parking is free in a nice large car park

The War Memorial Park was founded to commemorate the fallen of the Great War and it is always moving to see the main cenotaph, the plaques dedicated to servicemen who died in the Second World War in front of trees and exhibition in the visitor centre which has photographs of soldiers who died in the 1914-18 conflict: in one case several brothers, in another young men killed on or near Armistice Day itself. The park is splendid, in one of the nicest areas of Coventry, and I intend to have a go on the pitch and putting course and exercise facilities or explore the surrounding woods - it's good to walk around the perimeter as people and animals of all ages do. Stivichall Manor is worth considering too while I like the cafes. It was here where my brother and I witnessed the arrival of the Olympic torch in July 2012 and we have since found the park to be an excellent venue for community events for which his company provided equipment.

Lovely place for a visit on a sunny Summer day. Parking is good and there are plenty of paths and places to sit for people with mobility problems. Wheelchair friendly apart from the main cafe. Tables outside prevented us getting to the door but a member of staff came out and they were very helpful. Brought a table out to where we could get to and we had a pleasant lunch in the sun.

War memorial Park in Coventry is a really nice place to visit and relax in. It has a striking memorial at it's heart and just huge open spaces there after. Nice big play area for kids to have fun in and lots of green space for people to spot up and bunker down for a relaxing day in the sun. Also plays host to the BBC biggest weekend festival, well worth a visit.

Biggest weekend, awesome, hope they have it here again? Other than that, the park is a lovely walk having a quite considerable tarmac path around its parimeter, it has a small golf course, play area and cafe and is very scenic in the summer with the abundance of mature trees. A good place to take the family for a trip out.
